Should Nintendo stop making Pokemon remakes?

Recently there has been a waterfall of remakes along the way, and some fans just need more remakes to suit their needs. One example is Pokemon, and Pokemon has had many requests for remakes. Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire were the most awaited and continued to grow after revealing that the 6th gen games showcased 3d enviroments. And yet after ORAS has been released, some people still hunger for D/P/Pt remakes as well.

This leads to my conclusion that maybe Nintendo should maybe slow down as they could have other projects to go on with and that the pressure of a Sinnoh remake would be too much for them. But what do you think on this matter?

Feel free to express your feelings on this as you give out your opinions on this thread.

No they shouldn't because as you could tell before the ruby sapphire remakes were announced people were begging for them, so as long as people want them, they will buy it, and if people buy that means they make money and if they make money it means they won't go out of business and if they don't go out of business we will get pokemon games forever and ever! And plus I enjoy playing the remakes.

Once the Gen 4 games get remakes, then that should be the end of the main series Pokemon games (so therefore yes). However there should still be Pokemon games that play like the GCN games, meaning double battles, catching trainer and wild Pokemon, and very humorous yet straightforward personalities of each character.

Nah. Lots of people I know love remakes. It allows them to experience their old adventure in a newly advanced game. That's what I love about Pokemon games. I can experience the adventure I experienced in the past.

If Nintendo stops these remakes, I think that Pokemon will get a little boring with new generations introduced every time. Sure it's cool to see a new region, but the older generations will just be neglected, and not be remade.

Nintendo doesn't make them. Gamefreak does. And no, they shouldn't. At least not until after Sinnoh. I really would love to see a remake of that game. It was one of my favorite games after Hoenn.

So far it's been one remake every four years, which would mean sinnoh remakes should appear around 2019. Of course this is if pokemon doesn't just scrap remakes. There is going to be a sinnoh remake but after that, unova remakes? Of course there won't be X and Y remakes, but there may be sinnoh and unova remakes, just saying, if there is a massive demand for something nintendo won't just forget or drop the idea.

Pokemon games were awesome in the past and I think they are still even if we got to play them on the old systems, but having the possibility of making a remake of a great title and taking advantage of the possibilities that new technologies can offer on a nintendo platform, I think it is just fair that nintendo remakes some of the old games.

I don't necessarily have a problem with it as long as new features and story/storyline are being implemented.
Take it from a different point of view: should Nintendo stop making more (and potentially unoriginal) Pokemon species.

No, of course they shouldn't stop *w*
I mean even if it's a remake, it's not exactly the same.. There's new stuff with every generation :p <3

The only remakes they should make in my opinion are FRLG and PMD Red/Blue remakes. After that they shouldn't remake Sinnoh for a long time, since Platinum pretty much is a remake of DP and it's still very playable on any 3DS to this day thanks to backwards compatibility

Remakes are good but it wouldn't be nice to remake all of the games for pokemon but the remake I'm looking for is platinum the game was already good and if it was remaked it would be the best 3ds pokemon game. They won't remake the games though I have my reasons.
