Should the Legend of Zelda Series make more spin offs?

Should the development of new main games for the franchise not be slowed down, do you think Nintendo should make more Legend of Zelda spin offs (canon or non canon)?

Officially there are 5 spin offs at the moment (Mario has a ton more)

• Link's Cross Bow Training
• Hyrule Warriors

Tingle Series

• Freshly-Pick Tingle's Rosy Rupeeland
• Tingle's Balloon Fight DS
• Ripened Tingle's Ballon Trip of Love

Ideas for spins offs could be

• Zelda's story in Ocarina of Time
• Hyrule's Civil War/The Decline of the Sheikah
• The Rise of Zant/Twilight Game
• The Demon War before Skyward Sword
• Zelda themed mini games

Of everything , I think that the spin offs currently are quite good though I never tried any of the Tingle games though . Spin offs are pretty great though I think that alot of them are maybe underrated but I want to see maybe some more Zelda themed mini games would sure be quite fun ! The others that you listed would be very cool too but I am not sure if the Zelda series does fit into spin off ideas , but it may happen

Hopefully there is nothing like Zelda Rupee Shuffle or something like that though !

Lol i quite agree I think if Nintendo do free games it should be more for advertisement than making money on micro transactions (Pokemon shuffle wont make people to play Pokemon because its nothing like it)

Spin offs could work very well but only if they support it...Id imagine everyone who loved the the game the sin off was based on would love these games even if they arent as good (could be better but due to nostalgia people may disagree)

The ideas I listed I believe could really open up the lore and fill in big questions though some would argue it takes away from the imagination but even with these stories explained there are still so many more in the Legend of Zelda Series

I think The Legend Of Zelda franchise should make some spin-offs but not a lot, as it may affect the reputation of the series. I like your idea of Zelda in OOT, as I did wonder what she was doing while Link was off going through time and all, but they should keep it to a minimum.

Although I prefer the Legend of Zelda games the way they are, I don't mind if there are some spin offs if they are good ones and fans like them. I've played Link's Crossbow training and it's pretty fun if you're trying to beat a friends high score but when you're playing it with just yourself it doesn't seem as fun. I haven't played the rest of the spin offs though but Hyrule Warriors looks good.

I went into this thread expecting Alucard to be spreading Adult only stuff but after I actually read the post... vamp has some pretty great ideas imo. I only hope they don't do anything like Tingle again, I absolutely hated that wannabe elf with a passion.

Maybe they could make a Legend of Zelda game where there is a New Game+ option (hero mode, I know I know) that lets you play as another hero behind the scenes.

I think it should, yes, because most of the characters are interesting and you sort of wonder what their life is like, what are their story? I like spin off when they are well made. Plus, you can always "skip" the spinoff if you don't want to play them and focus on the LoZ main games, like Pokemon.

I always thought a spinoff that was similar to Paper Mario could be pretty interesting. Any good spinoffs would be great though, the main games take quite a while to make, and a spinoff would help hold over til' the main games.

I guess that a spin off would be a good idea. I like your idea of the Rise of Zant, since I really want to know more of his backstory. All I know from Twilight Princess is how he took over Hyrule and the Shadow Zone. Tingle looks like he needs another game, since the gameplay of his games was hilarious (Uncle Rupee)
