Instead of remaking games, why doesnt nintendo just make downloadable classic pokemon games on the eshop such as pokemon red and blue or yellow version. There can be a feature to trade and play online too. Im not sure if it can be on a virtual console format because im not sure how the restore points would work. Share your opinions!

YES. This is a need, not just a want. Pokemon and Nintendo need to do a virtual console for the classic pokemon games. So many people want this but instead Nintendo is just like no we aren't gonna do that sorry. It's too bad. Nintendo could make lots of money off of it and it would be totally cheap for them and us. We will no longer need emulators, which would be cool. We could access pclassic pokemon on the go without needing a game boy.

That would be good really, but Nintendo will have to fix all the glitches and stuff that were present in the original game because who knows what could happen to your 3ds when you try some 'game breaking' glitches :p ( it's pretty unlikely but some people do it curiously ) And if they were to add online features and trading, it should basically mean remaking the game :p

Yeah, I know... but couldn't they code in a communication feature but in the old graphics and stuff so that it could be tradeable? Maybe not internet but maybe just a local server to trade with others.
The glitches would definitely have to be removed that is true. But they should at least keep Missingno in there. If they leave Missingno in there I'll be really mad!

That would be really nice. If they do, I hope they have the capability of being able to be read as cartridges, that way, they can be used to transfer Pokemon from a downloaded gen 3 game.
For gen 1-2, it could be possible, given enough demand, that they could make a transporter for pokemon from 1 and 2.
And maybe we wouldn't need cables anymore, just infra-red to battle with nearby trainers.

They got the saving format just fine and it's typically just the game saves on it's own but it still has save states (in Mario Golf I believe anyway) and as confusing as it sounds they still may do the same thing if it gets requested enough and people want to buy it which astonishes me to begin with. But an updated version or even FireRed or Leafgreen would be neat too because we know it can work for the Wii U VC as well as the Ambassadors program for the 3DS.
