SSB for Wii U Should they make amiibo with alternate costumes?

The amiibos come in regular colors. My mario amiibo is the American costume. The only way I can make my amiibo look like that is to paint it. It would get messy. It would look really nice if nintendo relesed amiibo in different colors. What do you think.
 
That would be a nice idea but I think that Nintendo has to think of what use that would happen if it were to be like that . Different colors might be great , but I don't really see a use for it so customizing it yourself is the only option to do that .

But it is a nice idea though :)
 
that would probably make a lot of amiibo collectors mad because there would be a lot of really rare and not to helpful amiibo and I often just use the regular costumes for anything in smash.
 
Personally,I'd say that this idea would work only in a good way for characters who have a different character skin as part of their customazible skins,like Bowser Jr.(Koopalings),Olimar(Alph),Little Mac(Wire-Frame Mac)Wii Fit Trainer,Robin,and Villager(Male and female),and possibly those characters who have skins which are based upon certain games,like Wario(WarioWare and Super Mario version),Link(Normal,Dark,Skyward Sword and Fierce Diety versions),Samus(Varia,Dark and Prime 2 versions) and others,and yeah,like @ianarceus said,having multiple amiibo of the same character but with different variation of colors wouldn't make collectors feel at home safe from buying them all.
 
Well, it is a cool idea, but it would make everything much more complicated. The different amiibos would take up shelf place in stores, and the collectors would have to stress even more to get the multiple cosstumes for their figures. Would be cool, but it wouldn`t be worth it.
 
I mean it is OK, but they shouldn't really have to do that and it would also look weird in battle >.<

But all they could is add maybe 1.00 dollar addtional purchase to get/change an outfit, or just make it free. I don't like how battling would be though >.>
 
This is a good idea as well as a bad one. It's good for those who wish to have their own customized amiibo but at the same time, it ticks off collectors because they have to buy even more.
 
I do hot think they should make alternate color amiibos because you can already edit their in-game colors.
 
Some of the Alt costumes are pretty cool, but I don't think it's necessary for Nintendo to release them. A person can somewhat easily customize their amiibo to match an alt costume. Of course, finding the right colors and materials would take a while, but it's worth the hassle.

I bet there will be a website soon enough where you will be able to request custom amiibos and pay an extremely high price. That would be pretty cool. xP

Maybe just as exclusive alt trophies but then again there would need to be more clear plastic for alt trophies like Palutena's and Zelda's. If people would want them so bad they would paint their Amiibo themselves. I think it would be poor investment if Nintendo did that. It's not a really big deal, just like shiny Pokemon.
