Anyone else play Silent Hill here? I love the series. I've played 1-4 and some of the others too. 2 and 3 are my favorites. Such good stories. I wouldn't say I grew up on them, my sister started playing them when I was about 10, and then I got interested and was drawn like a moth to the glowing tv screen. heh heh. I love the creepy, sad, guilty feeling/setting in each game, the characters(both human and other) and the music. Ah..*nostalgia* Anyway, I didn't see a topic about Silent Hill, so I thought I'd create one. (a bit late for Halloween :\ )

I forgot to add that the Dementium series is also pretty good. And it's for the DS.

Silent Hill 4 is one of the very few games that made me feel physically sick with fear. I was very young when I played it so it messed me up pretty good, and I love it :D

I started Silent Hill 3 a long time ago but never managed to finish it; coincidentally I'm looking to start playing it again these days.

Heh heh, yea, SH games are good at that. I think that the prison in SH2 is the place where I was most scared. There's this bathroom you can go into, and there's a closed stall and when you go up to it, you can knock on the door. Nothing happens, and you can walk around all you want, but when you get to the door to leave, 'something' in the closed stall kicks the door. Geeze, I think I almost peed myself the first time that happened. o_o

I loved the slow-but-growing fear more than the sudden scares. For example, in Silent Hill 4, there's a part where
you get a key and a note saying that the holder of the key will be trapped forever. Try going back, and you'll be stuck between the same two areas forever. It was great :D You needed to use a trick with the room to get out of there.
My gawd I want to play Silent Hill 4 again once I finish 3.
