Alright so i got a 3DS last year (even though i should've waited for the new one ¬_¬) and so i'm still kinda getting use to it. well i have 2 SD cards with different memories in them, and i was wondering if i bought the new 3DS with a big enough storage, can i transfer both SD card memories to that single micro SD card for the new 3DS? or no?

Unfortunately not. I still have my 3DS manual (I have my 3DS everything  ) and according to it, 'data from multiple SD cards cannot be resaved onto a single card.' It gets corrupted if the data is merged, according to reports on the internet. After all, each SD card's games are tied exclusively to one SD card and one 3DS unless it is transferred using the Transfer Tool. With the N3DS, it's likely even less compatible.

However, there is hope. If you sign up for the eShop with the same NNID as on your old 3DS, I think you'll be able to redownload all your games directly onto the N3DS.

That's a bummer. Why don't they give the 3ds bigger storage capacities (there is a limit too how big your sd card can be before it starts messing with the CPU speeds) instead of having us struggle with multiple Sd-cards?

Yeah. 32 GB (the maximum) is more than enough for me, though.

I don't think it's their fault. The similar data on each card gets merged and it getting corrupted is pretty much inevitable then. It becomes unusable because of conflicting information.

32 Gb? Woah... I got 4. And you're probably right.
