SMASH BROS 3RD PARTY SURPRISE!!!

Which one were people more surprised about, when Snake was brought into Brawl or when Bayonetta was brought into Smash 4?

I would say snake

I would say Bayonetta. Snake does hail from a M+ rated game with violence and Sakurai deciding to put him in the family-friendly Smash would turn some heads. But Bayonetta's game has blood and gore. And in addition to her rather erotic nature, who would've thought that she'd be the winner of the ballot when so many people could've used it to get Snake, Wolf, King K. Rool, and others into the game.

Well... Bayonetta won the smash poll in like basically every country except for the united states of america, meaning people expected Bayonetta to win, heck even USA had her in the top 5, and i have seen noticably less uproar compaired to snake being reveled, despite her... ok i am not going to explain but you all know what i am going to say. Snake, on the other hand, came out of literally nowhere and no one was ready for him, especially due to other characters in his series being in sony battle royale. So, yeah, snake had a bigger uproar and was more surprising.

Was more exoted about Bayonetta, love playing her games and she has alot of potential in smash too

I would have to say Bayonetta. I hardly knew who snake was when he was announced. Heck, I thought that Ike was a custom character you could make when it first came out. Snake also wasn't my play style but I enjoyed playing him along with the whole roster. I would have to say Bayonetta again because, I actually voted for her to be in the game, always wanted to play Bayonetta, and honestly just prefer Bayonetta.

Definitely Bayonetta. With the violence and nudity in Bayonetta 2 not that many people expected that she would have made it in. But I really do enjoy her in Smash.

I was most surprised about bayonetta in super smash brothers 4 more then snake, Bayonetta is a really bad game when it comes to the content in it (i played through the first and 2nd one, There so good!) But i couldn't believe a character like bayonetta would be in super smash brothers ever because of the game she comes from, When i heard her voice in the trailer i freaked out!

I couldn't care less about Snake tbh. Bayonetta caught me by surprise, but at that same time I always thought she would have been an awesome character for Smash and a viable one. She's much more fitting in the Smash series than Snake - whom always felt out of place to me.

Snake probably. I didn't know he was, and I knew allot of nintendo, but I was still surprised about Bayo. I was raging over Bayo, but she became one of my main XP It still surprises me they added character hailing from M games though... I just realized, they where both my mains in Smash XP

Snake kinda confused me at first because I remember seeing him on a PSP game once and I was like "You're not a Nintendo character, let alone a character from a child's game". Then Bayonetta came along and decided that Smash was meant to get an M rating (jkjk). Bayonetta was probably not a game meant to be played by you average 10 year old, so seeing her in Smash was quite a shocker.

Also throwing a Wild Card here, but I was most surprised at seeing Cloud join the fight, mostly because Cloud's game was never put on any Nintendo console, plus like barely any Nintendo players knew about him. But he's a great charactee to play as so I'm glad he's here to fight!
