Nintendo released a surprise demo in Japan. The usable characters are Mario, Link, Pikachu, Villager and Mega Man. While it doesn't confirm any leaks it does give a better picture of what Smash will be like. Hopefully the demo will come to the west as well.

Yeah, I'm just watching Smooth McGroove play it! And it looks awesome!:thumbsup:
 
It looks great, by the way, Sakurai said there might be a demo for NA and European people.
I think that this demo has quite some content, that's cool (and we thought that there would be no demo for SSB4!) :).
The Hype Train is going even faster, it seems ;)
 
I just read about this too. It sounds awesome! I read though that the only level is battlefield.
 
I noticed though that Lucina was missing from the character select screen. I'm willing to bet more characters are going to be in the final game.

I think the demo looks awesome, and I hope that it comes to NA/EU, we need it also, for people like @dilawer who don't have the slight clue what the game is like. :love:

A demo would be great in my eyes!! It would really give the player a sense of how super smash bros is played (if down well of course!) If it works out well in Japan I think it will most likely be coming to the west as well :)

Oh, so now I get it. These are two different versions of Link. Seems kinda redundant to me. Anyways, I also think that the Demo should hit European/NA eShops so that I can see what all the fuss is about without having to buy the whole game. :love:

I'm happy that SSB 4 got a demo,just so that people can get a sensation of what the full game will be like.Hopefully,Americans,Europeans and other regions can get the demo as soon as possible.

HYPEHYEPHYEPEHYPEHYPE MEH GUSTA! I am incredibly happy to see this SSB4 demo come out in Japan! I am sure i will be playing the game soo much even when the actual game comes out! I only hope it comes out to the West, but Sakurai has teased us on it so...... Fingers crossed:singing:

That is very likely that SSB4 will come to the west. I hope there is a feature where you can convert all the data from the demo to the full game like other demos (Mystery Dungeon/Bravely Default) so I don't have to waste my time unlocking characters when I start the game not that the demo would have a lot of features. Mario and Pikachu are my favorite of the originals although Pikachu can seem a lot cheap at times. And hopefully it has classic mode right?

So I can try smash without having to buy it, I'll use this to test if I should get smash.

There will be one: All the coins you'll get will be able to be transferred to the final version of the game. I also hope that there will be a "free battle mode" (you know, do what you want, but fight) in the demo. It'll make the demo last longer.

I hope Nintendo Release a Demo here in America and Europe as well. I am gonna buy the Game Midnight on the eShop but i would like to try it out for a Moment :)

Well, there's one, but it's Platinum-Members only at the moment, just like the Tomodachi Life demo.
But it will get a worldwide release on September 19th.
