Smash DLC Wii U/3DS question

Good, now that i got your attention with my fake title, watch the views on this go through the roof, i have a question to ask, if one buys a dlc code on a 3ds version of Super Smash Bros 4, then types the code into the wiiu version of Smash 4, will the code work?I need to know because most of you guys are auctioning off 3ds codes so those with wiiu versions only can now have those codes, and vice versa. This would help a lot of shop-keeps sell stuff. Also, only answer if you KNOW the correct answer. Finally i love sheik, so no hateful comments. All in all, Tatsu i know you are going to show up and yell at me for this, so dont, it wont get you anywhere.

When you purchase a 3DS + Wii U option for a DLC, the system you downloaded it on gets the DLC added on instantly while the receipt of the purchase contains the DLC code for the other version. So if you buy (for example) Corrin on 3DS with the 3DS + Wii U option, Corrin will be downloaded onto the 3DS and the digital receipt will contain a Wii U code!
