Smogon's First Suspest Test Over

Well as spme of ypu may know by now Smogon has Banned Genesect and Lucarionite from OU! How do you think this will affect the metagame?

Didn't even know it ended, heh. I was looking forward to using Genesect in OU battles Deoxys-S isn't that bad and I can see why the majority allowed it to stay :

Lucarionite: 125 Ban, 8 Do Not Ban, 3 Abstain -> Uber with a 94% majority

Genesect: 77 Ban, 48 Do Not Ban, 11 Abstain -> Uber with a 61.6% majority

Deoxys-S: 44 Ban, 75 Do Not Ban, 17 Abstain-> OU with a 63% majority

How do you think this will affect the metagame?

Lucarionite had to go. That combined with Mega Luke's ability made him have monstrous power without any setbacks. It crushes both walls and sweepers (that don't resist his attacks) without an effort.

Genesect on the other hand is unpredictable from what I've heard (skipped gen 5). The download boost and great movepool was a bit overpowered but it wasn't too bad IMO.

I think the choices are okay and Pokemon can sleep better at night,

I didn't think Lucarionite was such a big deal whenever I came across it, but it is what it is.

While they say Genesect is really unpredictable, reality is the unpredictability actually makes it REALLY predictable. I always came across one of two standard Genesect sets and it wasn't that hard to counter.

As for Deoxys-S, I'm relatively neutral on that.
