SMT IV Demon Lost?

I'm new in Shin Megami Tensei Series and SMT IV was the first one I bought (it's because of some awesome guys here in 3dspedia that enlighten me on which to buy! Thanks again guys.) from this last Atlus sale.

I always experience Lham Dearg being blown away and get 'Lost'. I tend to reset/load the game through Burroughs since I really don't know what to do if your ally was lost. What to do guys?

Lost demons mean they cannot participate in next battle until you find them again. After "Lost" takes effect, finish your current battle and just engage in another battle (in the same floor). You may find them, and don't worry, there won't be any battle with your own demons.

If a demon gets lost all you have to do is the keep running into demons and you will come cross your lost demon. As much as I have been playing the game I believe it only happens a few times , for me it's only happen once but I was able to get my demon back from running into battles.
