so final fantasy and bravely default

ok I admit IV never played a final fantasy game.to be fair iv wanted to but never got into it.since im getting bravely default for Christmas,and since iv heard so many similarities betwween the two,should I get into final fantasy? I'm sure I can get a game from my flea markett but I want to know if the games are a good buy to a RPG lover who's never played the games before

Fudge yeah, Final Fantasy IV or III are both AMAZING games, if you like a game with an excellent storyline! And then XIII isn't quite as good as those two, but it's still a pretty good game. III has a better battle system and IV has better characters.

So I just downloaded the first final fantasy for iOS and so far I'm liking it,maybe I'll get into the series.thanks for the advice
