So is Splatoon like Kid Icarus: Uprising?

In terms of Turf War it certainly reminds me of Light vs. Dark which involves some teaming up to defeat an enemy and then an Angel or one target so the only objective is changed to painting everything. Paint rollers look like Melee weapons (like Arms in KI:U) and there's this sniper type weapon in Splatoon that can be like a staff in KI:U. And in Turf War it appears to be like Light vs. Dark with the exception being you have a lot less health and respawn in the same spot every time. And both games have a single player or story mode and use Amiibo (for extra stuff in Spatoon) or AR Cards (for the stuff you could already get in KI:U but some minor stuff you can't). And does this mean there is any KI:U weapons in Splatoon for DLC yet or in the future?

And both games have a single player or story mode

This is almost like saying that both games are games o_O

No there's nothing related to KI:U in the game that you ca obtain from what I've seen so far. I didn't see any announcement about it either.

It's like saying Sponge Bob and Nemo are the same because it takes place in the ocean.

I mean, you could say Call of Duty is similar because it has a snipe rifle! And the objective is changed to spreading paint! I mean, your point doesn't make sense. It's like saying dogs and cats are very similar because they both have tails and walk on four legs.
