Support Needed Some help? Yoshi's New Island Hot Air Balloon not working.

Hello everyone! I started playing Yoshi's New Island on a 2DS. It was used and in good condition. In 1-4 of the game, I reached the Hot Air Balloon section in the game and held my system upright but I didn't float up as I expected to. I tilted my 2DS left and right and it worked. I didn't seem to go up though. Any solutions to this? Maybe I'm just dumb, haha.

By it worked, I mean the balloon did go left and right.

Have you checked if your gyroscope works in other games (Mario Kart 7 is a good one, just turn press up on the control pad to turn on gyro steering in a race)
