Gen 5 Some questions about Pokemon B/W/B2/W2

Hey guys, most of you know I skipped the 5th gen Pokemon games, so I have a couple of questions..

1. Is it possible to randomly find an opponent to battle from around the world without exchanging friend codes?
2. Do you see the opponent's Pokemon like in Pokemon Showdown? (I hope not)
3. Does the game record your wins and losses, or is it now Points similar to Pokemon Showdown?
4. What are some of the best 5th gen Pokemon that I should look at for competitive battling?

About time you asked something about the 5th Gen.

1. Yes, you can do it.
2. You see all of your Opponents Pokemon (All 6 of them) but both you and your opponent can only use 3. Because all WiFi battles are 3v3
3. There are 2 modes, Ranked and Unranked. Ranked records your Wins, Loses and also has a points system similar to Showdown. While the Unranked system only keeps track of Wins and Loses.
4. There are a lot of Pokemon for competitive play but you should take a look at Haxorus, Volcarona, Keldeo, Terrakion, Excadrill, Toxicroak, Conkeldurr, Zoroark, Cinccino, Ferrothorn, Chandelure, Hydreigon. (These are all Regular Pokemon except for Keldeo and Terrakion which are both Legeandary)

@dilawer I'm glad I skipped 5th gen if it only has 3v3 battles. I hope X/Y is similar to D/P/Pl.

I'm pretty sure X/Y will also have 3v3 because Random battles would be a lot longer if they weren't 3v3.

Yeah, you can battle 6v6 with your friends and use any Pokemon including Legendary with them. (Not sure about the Legendary part but I guess you can)
