Hey,
I open this thread because I am curious to read your opinion about a "mario maker" for ssb.
I know that's impossible to happen but it is still a dream *-* and i know it already exists for Wii U but many people don't like it.
Having the power to create your own map and then edit it the way you want would be great!
Then in For Fun online mode and Local mode they can add a matchmaking system which picks a random map, like mario maker, and the match will be played in there.
They can add all the features they want like saving the data of the best maps, voting them, having a leadboard with the best maps.
This can pe applied for the wii u version too (but i'm not pretty sure how it works, i don't have a wii U).

You realize that would require the system to download the map and save it, and it would have to do it for all the maps. It couldn't handle it

mh i mean you can save your favourite maps, not all.
when you join a random map the game will download it of course but when the match finishes the file will be deleted.

I agree with Heropon the 3ds couldn't handle super mario maker especially the multiplayer part of super mario maker.

Like Willz and Heropon Tatsu said the Super Mario Maker stage like thing is not capable for the 3ds. Maybe if Super smash bros for 3ds was Super smash bros for NEW 3ds it would work because if XENOBLADE CHRONICLES is on the NEW 3ds I know it will be on the new 3ds if Super smash bros for 3ds was made for New 3ds

Maybe that would be different on a new 3ds xl. Ive noticed that smash 3ds runs way better on my new 3ds xl (and a lot of other things), though i do not have specifics on the processing power differences between wii u and new 3ds xl so not sure here. Just a guess, really.

If you don't know, you can make stages in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. I remember my best friend and me playing some stages we made, and it was REALLY fun, he made crazy stupid stages, like the only - spikes one or things like that. But he did make a stage I really liked, with only falling blocks and moving blocks.

The 3DS is not powerful to handle such a feature, as much as I would want something like that. And the online For Fun maps download idea wouldn't be a good idea. The reason as cob said. I enjoyed some maps that my friend made in Brawl. I remember a specific one called the Haunted House which I really liked xD

Maybe the possibility of this feature would be for future Sm4sh games (if any at all, lol :p)
