He does not need a nerf. People that play characters well do not need a nerf, it simply means that you either need to become better or learn the match ups. I'm a sonic main and fight sonic's quite often, there is nothing wrong with him. Besides, it is the last patch so the characters will remain like this. Besides, sonic has already recieved nerfs along with every other character in the game. Just look at Greninja and meta knight.

@Waddles that's my point. People complained on little things that others could easily deal with that they kept dropping him on tier list. What's funny however is that one nerf actually made sonic better

Nerf Sonic? He's fine the way he is >.>
Besides, Sonic is not that hard to deal with, once you get used to the way a Sonic player tries to go at you, try punishing. There are some things I try to do avoid getting in Sonic's combos

- Shield when he charges Side B/Down B - This is probably the most safest option to avoid Sonic's spin combos. Plus most Sonic players will try to jump in the air or spin past you to avoid getting punished out of your shield, so if you predict which option they take to avoid you, you can try to go for a punish as well
- Edge Guarding - Sonic can recover extremely well both vertically and horizontally, however you can have him waste his midair jump by attacking him off stage, leaving him to his Up B which may not be enough to bring him back on the stage.

I think that Sonic needn't a nerf. Sure, some people may complain about some of Sonic's combos and he's really fast, but that's just the way the character is. (He's Sonic and he's gotta go fast 
Duh) There's plenty of ways to counter back at some of his moves and he's gotten nerfed in some way as cob said, so it's just a matter of how you play and how the other player plays :3

I believe that one flaw Sonic players have is that they underestimate people because of Sonic's speed. I've seen people charge headstrong and end up getting countered. I remember one particular player who made me laugh so much because she tried to use that speed to grab me at every opportunity. While she did try to play good (although all that grabbing was cheap), she was constantly getting Shulk Down Smashed which lead to her defeat.
