Hey guys, how are you doing? well I hope you are fine, today, I want to bring you another indie game that is coming to the nintendo switch, that game is Moonlighter. This game was announced like 3 months ago but as I haven´t seen any news about it, I thought convenient to bring it here so you get to know a Little bit more about it.
The game is designed in georgeous pixel art and it tells the story of a shopkeeper who craves some adventure. Actually, he must go outside his shop to get stuff to sell, and guess what, that stuff is no easy task to get it. Here is the oficial announcement tráiler for the nintendo switch, hope you enjoy it and then you can tell me your thoughts on this one.

This seems a neat little indie title that could well with the switch indie crowd. I'll be interested to see how it reviews and plays.

I firmly believe that Indies are the future of videogames.
Modern videogames have million dollar budgets and when released cost around 60 US dollars. They are often filled with bugs, microtransactions and constant overpriced DLC. I'm mainly talking about companies like EA or Ubisoft here.

Indies on the other hand, are created by small teams, with small budgets and have loads of love poured into them. They are often significantly cheaper too. And while the visuals may not be incredibly lifelike, the artstyle makes up for it.

What would you rather buy for the same/similar price?
Shovel Knight, Shantae & the Pirate's Curse, Axiom Verge and Stardew Valley?
or
The next Call Of Duty game with all the DLC and microtransactions?

It's a no-brainer.
Thank you for bringing what looks like another spectacular Indie to my attention.

Well, thank you for stopping by and giving your thoughts on this topic. You know what, I do believe that indie games have great or even greater stories to tell sometimes, specially comparing to some triple A 2 billion dollar Budget games hahahah. I am actually waiting eagerly for this title but I have to tell you that I love all sorts of games. Anyway, there is always something special about the indie ones that keeps me coming back to them.

Thank you again for giving your feedback!

What? Indie titles are the future of video games? I wish, but strongly disagree.

Yes, I'd rather play Shovel Knight but millions of people disagree. Here's a good example- Star Wars Battlefront II (2017) was a blatant "pay to win" system in the game with unreasonable character unlocks that could be bought and upgrades coming from things you could buy. The internet threw a collective fit, EA's reddit team quickly turned into a meme and EA now has the most hated reddit post ever (Not a lie, over 680,000 downvotes in about 2 days). So how did Star Wars Battlefront II (2017) sell? Over 9 million copies at that 60$ price tag. Oh, and microtransactions are back in the game. It doesn't take a lot to do that math and see they EA still made a killing off of Star Wars Battlefront II. The next Call of Duty game with all the microtransactions? Until people stop buying those games, and until microtransactions start getting regulated, call of duty will still make a new game like every year and make a crap ton of money. Same thing with most triple A titles...

I will say these problems are mostly on XBox/Playstation... The switch indie games seem to sell incredibly well. Most Triple A games on switch don't have microtransactions. So maybe indies will turn it on triple A games, but with the current state of gaming, especially on the Xbox One and to some degree the PS4, I don't know how indie's can compete against games like Call of Duty and Star Wars Battlefront II.

Yeah, this post was a bit... yeah...
I'd just played a bunch of Indies back to back and was in a very... pro-indie mood.

But I personally do indeed prefer indies. I'm not saying all AAA's are bad (there are a few that I really want to play, like MHWorld, Fortnite, Bloodborne and more) but Indies are generally cheaper than AAA's.

I also feel like they're ideally suited for the switch, since a lot of indies don't take up much processing power, extending the battery.
They also take up less memory, meaning in theory you could have five seperate indies that would take up the same space a large AAA game like DOOM (amazing game btw) does.

you don´t need to regret what you said or even thought about indie games, I think it is quite valid, so don´t let yourself be confused by other people´s points, cause you have your own and that´s really good. What is more, I actually agree with you! I mean, I think indies have a real potential to capture people´s attention, because they are telling a story no one has ever Heard about! Just as the other user commented before you, the next call of duty this or that. Ok, let´s just think about this, he is asuming it will sell well because people know what they are getting. I think, my Friends, that´s the point this huge triple A games are failing, they are failing because people already know what to expect! I think it is already clear that this is my point of view, but let me tell you something else, I own Horizon Zero down and some other so called triple A games, I get bored of playing them!! I know what to expect!!
