Welcome to another season of Anime!

I personally think that there are a lot of great series this season and boyyy am I gonna have fun~

So far, I've been watching:

JoJo- No words needed
Ace Attorney or Gyakuten Saiban- This is based off the games which I am happy about! Though the anime production isn't very high it seems, I enjoyed it as it brought back many memories of playing that game.
Boku no Hero no Academia- This was a good first episode for the series. The animation and art was clean, the music was great, and I found the pacing perfect. I read the manga and didn't think it was the NEW BEST THING but I do thoroughly enjoy this and hope it meets standards Bones has set recently.
Kuma Miko- I started this series thinking it would be a light-hearted comedy, and it was. BUT there were some questionable moments that made me laugh my <censored> off, especially since I didn't expect it. This series reminded me of Bakaramon and will serve as one of my 'imatakeabreak' animes when I have time.
Re:Zero- I'm obsessed with timeloop plots (HakoMari being my favorite piece of literature ever) and I am excited to see how this goes... Actually I know because right after the first episode, I preceded to read all the available manga. It's something I enjoy and look forward to seeing more animated.
Joker Game- I love how the 'Joker Game' was introduced. The concept of multi-layer spies working with one diehard honest solider will be interest, especially as the soldier finds out how to deal with this situation thrust upon him. The seems like it will be suspenseful as hell and I can't wait for the weeks of cliffhangers that awaits.
Sousei no Onmyouji- I read the manga and when I heard that there was gonna be some anime-original aspects added, I was skeptical, especially since Pierrot is a hit or miss with me. However, I feel like it was well enough adapted with clear art and music. Though very shounen, it seems like it will be alright.
Bungou Stray Dogs- I also read the manga for this and was very hyped for this. However, it didn't exactly live up to the high bar I put it to. This doesn't mean it's bad. I still enjoyed it. It is still on its first ep so there's still a lot things to cover and more episodes until it gets into the meat of the story which i look forward to.
Sakamoto Desu Ga?- This is my new religion. Watch it.
Kotetsujou no Kabaneri- I thought it would be an Attack on Titan rip-off with the same essential story, same studio, same... everything. However, the feeling of thrill and suspense is great in this one and honestly got me hooked.

Anime I'm looking forward to watching that hasn't come out at the time of this post:

Sinbad no Bouken- Manga for this and Magi is great and I hope Sinbad will be just as good
Kiznaiver- I only know its Studio Trigger but I have hopes for them. The premise seems promising too
Flying Witch- This anime feels like it's going to be very very relaxing.

Don't have much to say for those I haven't watched but I think it's gonna be good. Haven't been this booked in a while! I love the Spring Season!

What are you guys watching?

I haven't really read any descriptions or watched any trailers (anime is a lot better when you don't know what you're going to expect and it turns out really good), but these are what I plan to watch from the covers I've seen so far :

-> Re:Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu
-> Seisen Cerberus
-> Kiznaiver
-> Sousei no Onmyouji
-> Joker Game

I'm on the fence about Endride from comments I read. I might check it out if I don't have anything else to do~

Main thing I'm watching right now is Boku no Hero Academia, which has great potential and a really interesting cast of characters, with a somewhat similar setting to OPM. Really excited to see how this goes, as I haven't read the manga but heard a lot of praise for this! I'm also watching The Asterisk War S2 to finish off the series but I don't have many high hopes for it

Re:Zero is also one I plan to watch soon and it looks pretty amazing, and I've heard the first ep is twice as long. Joker Game and Bungou Stray Dogs also seem interesting.

So far from the spring 2016 anime season I've only seen the first 2 episodes of Ace Attorney. It's absolutely amazing so far. I can't wait for more of it! As for @EpicR 's desription of them, I'm probably going to start watching Joker Game, Kuma Miko and possibly Kotetsujou no Kabaneri. Also thanks for putting up the list of the anime this season! Otherwise I wouldn't know what the ongoing ones are this Spring and I'd be totally lost! Thanks again!

You can use websites like Anichart and Myanimelist to keep track of what is airing in any current season.

I didn't list all of the anime this season. There are some that I planned on watching when the series is finished like Mayoiga and these are just the ones I watched. My favorite first ep so far was probably Sakamoto Desu Ga and Boku no Hero no Academia. IMO there were a lot of good series though but those stood out to me.

After seeing the first ep of flying witch, i can say that i am definitely liking the series and will watch it whenever i need to get de-stressed from school.

So far I'm only watching the Ace Attorney anime and Mayoiga. Mayoiga seems interesting so far, and I hope that it'll be very Higurashi like in terms of psychologicalness. I really hope that the main character will develop a lot though, because so far he seems like every other naive brown-haired nice guy anime protagonist ever :rolleyes:
There are a few other series I've yet to try, but this anime season is already more interesting than the last one :p

I decided to give Koutetsujou no Kabaneri a shot yesterday and I'm actually enjoying it. It gives off the Attack on Titan "feel" with how humanity is pushed back against a wall with specific types of monsters and the gear they use >.<

I think I found my favorite of the season. This series makes me feel ten times better.

So far I'm only watching the Ace Attorney anime
I've been meaning to ask this >.< For a person who has never played an Ace Attorney game, is the anime worth checking out? Someone said I should check out the anime but I've never watched a movie or anime mainly about law >.<

Hmmm... I don't think so to be honest. Pointing out contradictions and finding clues makes the Ace Attorney games so amazing, you really get emerged in the story that way, but in the anime you can't do it yourself and it takes a lot of the fun away in my opinion.The games are also veeery over-the-top in a good quirky way, but in the anime it feels a bit forced. It's all just a bit more cliché, but I don't know if that's because of the voice actors or the animation, or just because there's less time to get attached to the characters. Plus Maya became your stereotypical cheerful anime girl ;-;

I'm probably still gonna keep watching it because it's just 20 minutes a week and because I still enjoy seeing the sprites fully animated, but I definitely recommend playing games over watching the anime, although the anime isn't that bad, but compared to the games it is :p

PS You don't need to know anything about law to watch this haha
PPS I really hope they're gonna use more of the game's OST, because them songs are amazing :0

Here's a list of series I'm interested in, though I won't be watching until the season is over

  • Flying Witch
  • Kiznaiver (I'm crossing my fingers that this will be good, Trigger's a talented studio, but I'd yet to really like any TV series they've made)
  • Joker Game
  • Uchuu Patrol Luluco
  • Under the Dog

First thing, I personally don't think that it is worth checking out if you haven't played the games. However, the games were really often and they do come on sale in the nintendo eshop once in a while so you may want to check it out. It's more there for people who have played the game and have always wanted to see it animated. It was a treat for me seeing all the characters animated and it was a very faithful adaption. However to someone new, the series may seem a bit cheap, BS'd in some parts, and just no sense in others.

Second, I really like Flying Witch. It's not a series for everyone and I can see people getting bored watching it but this relaxed series and its funny expressions really makes my stressful week feel much better.

Shows I look forward to every week are:
Joker Game
Bungou Stray Dogs
Sousei no Onmyouji (kind of for now)
Sakamoto
Iron Fortress
BokuHero
Re:Zero
Flying Witch

Still watching some others but these are what make my week.

So! The Season is over! What did you guys think?

These are just my thoughts:

JoJo- Just Jojo
Ace Attorney or Gyakuten Saiban- This anime is pretty bad but i enjoy it.
Boku no Hero no Academia- This series has its ups and downs but was overall very enjoyable to watch. As a manga reader, I am satisfied with this adaption. Ep7 was my favorite
Kuma Miko- I dropped this Not sure why but it lost my interest after a little
Re:Zero- This turned out a lot better than I thought. A lot of emotion was put into the second arc which made up for some of the more boring parts of the second arc. I look forward to seeing this continue
Joker Game- I was really excited for this but i feel a bit let down. It was not bad but nothing made it more than good. Just cool spy stories.
Sousei no Onmyouji- Personally I dropped this because it felt like it was dragging out.
Bungou Stray Dogs- The first half was a bit disappointing but it picked up during the second half. I am looking forward to the second season.
Sakamoto Desu Ga?- This is still my religion. Watch it
Kotetsujou no Kabaneri- This series was OK imo. It definitely tried to separate itself from Attack on Titan and I enjoyed it a decent amount but I also had moments when I cringed quite a bit. The ending also seemed to be very open which may lead into a second season I wouldn't mind watching.
Sinbad no Bouken- Never actually finished it but I'm sure it's great. Will marathon later
Kiznaiver- I started watching and put it on hold. I like the concept and the characters and will finish later.
Flying Witch- This anime is personally my favorite. It was very calming and so many moments that made me chuckle and grin. I will definitely rewatch this when I'm down just to brighten my day.
