PlayStation Battle Royale has been around for a while, but Smash is still more fun for me since I grew up with it :p. Plus Smash has more unique characters and even accepts characters from 3rd party to be in the game.

I am more attached to Super Smash bros because It was in my childhood for as long as I can remembered. I liked PSASBR but the Ssb series is my vote. Yeah, even ssb accepts 3rd party characters which is also very awesome of its kind.
 
Smash definitely because I grew up with it and its been always a funner game to me Playstation Battle Royal is dumb to me lol.And like what @Shelton_Xeno said Smash accepts third party characters!
 
Both games are great and completely different other than the fact that they are fighting games so I'm going to say they are incomparable. Both games are combo based and have similar elements like instant kill moves, shields via crouching and it even features some tech skills in it as well. It's like Joy Mech Fight but upgraded and for Playstation.
