My boyfriend talked me into playing it and now I can't stop. It is actually an enjoyable experience! Harvest Moon was a huge inspiration to the game, but I never really got into Harvest Moon. This game I love though and I hope it makes it's way to the 3DS so I can get it there.
I can't say I've made a lot of progress simply because I like running around, exploring, and giving everyone gifts.
