If Nintendo ever creates "Super Luigi Bros.", would you buy it, or try it out?

Sounds interesting, right :sneaky:
Well, Nintendo has probably thought of this idea before, but never actually planned it all the way through. Would you guys buy this game if it ever comes out?

YES. Luigi is always the better character. He has more personality and isn't crazy like mario. Watchgame theorys 2 part series on why mario is mental. He is a killer and luigi is a kind but timid younger brother. I always liked him more and having a game dedicated to him that isn't something like mario is missing or luigis mansion (a traditional mario game but with more story and luigi) Maybe there could be some really cool powerups only for luigi. Like a poltergiest powerup xD

I wouldn't use Game Theory to justify Mario being insane. Sure, the games tend to make you believe that, but if you play the main games as Luigi, then technically he is the mass murderer in that game. That aside, I would love to see a main Mario game featuring Luigi instead that isn't DLC. Then again, Mario is the mascot of the series, and the mascot of Nintendo in general, so we may have to wait until Year of Luigi II comes around.

It wouldn't really be a mario game if luigi was the main playable character but I get your point xD And yeah I guess luigi would be the murderer if he was the main character stomping on goombas and breaking blocks.

good thoughts. I thought that maybe it could start out with Mario actually getting kidnapped instead of the princess...idk lol just an idea!

It's sort of already a game.

But I get your point, like a new unique Luigi game and not a reskin. Luigi' s mansionation is the only one to do this (and Mario is missing but that's not really official).

But I would like it if Waluigi and Luigi were the only playable characters with their own strengths and weaknesses focusing more on jump height and different forms of platforming for example dropping down or going up and going though different pipes. I'd prefer a Wario/Waluigi Bros. more than Luigi Bros. imo but it may not be as marketable as Luigi although that already has been done for Year of Luigi. So if they hyped up a Year of Waluigi/Wario later on or instead of more Year of Mario that would be hype.

An inkling secretly painted the X on Bros., which means inklings were in favor for the Year of Luigi. :p

Aside from NSLU, another Luigi-only platformer might not be needed for a good while, since Super Mario Maker will be releasing soon, and Luigi (in retro & modern forms) will be playable via the Luigi Amiibo. Now if only the World Map(s) could be customized within Super Mario Maker...

The year of luigi wasn't enough, and I am sure that nintendo will make even more luigi games. Instead of a reskin, luigi could save daisy or something and it would be like the original mario bros but changed around with the name luigi all in it. The shadow that luigi stands in is being turned by nintendo and soon luigi will have more popularity, he already has an amiibo too! :D

Actaully, if you have played luigi's mansion, he gets trapped in a painting by a ghost, so basiclly what you just said is praticlly already a game. Luigi saved mario, and I guess nintendo wants to shine more on luigi than the palette swap from the original mario brothers. Its not just a thought, you know :p I really like luigi too

I think that would be a very cool idea. Luigi needs more popularity. I think that Nintendo focuses on mario way too much. Luigi is left out too much. In some mario bros games you have to beat the game to unlock luigi. You should just be able to be him from the start. If another luigi game came out, I would definately get it.

Yes I would totally buy that, imagine luigi having another brother, that would be amazing xD. Luigi needs more focus in the games, to me his just an outcast that gets put to one side most of the time. He should be more playable aside from being unlocked at the end of certain games

When I first heard of Super Luigi Bros, I thought "What happened to Mario? He got replaced with another character?" I still wonder what the story is. Is it like in Super Princess Peach where you have to rescue Mario or Mario just didn't want to get included in the game this time and decided to give Luigi another time to shine?

I wouldn't mind another Luigi game I loved playing as him in Luigi Mansion. I think seeing more of Marios' little bro would be a nice change, though I'm not saying that because I hate Mario it's just you know Luigi is kind of over looked.

New Super Luigi Bros U is a pretty cool game. This game is the chance the taller brother has waited for since being relegated to “player 2” status so many years ago. Its smaller levels, restrictive time limit, and floaty physics work well as a challenge mode add-on to an already terrific game. But as fun as it often is, this still feels more like an addendum to NSMBU a remix, rather than something new that stands on its own.

I would love to see a real standalone Luigi game. I mean, even Wario has TONS of spin off games that spun off into entire series the were distinctly different from the original, but Luigi can't even have ONE standalone game? With the Year of Luigi over, however, the future looks bleak for such a project idea...
