I Agree with you and @SunnyWindy on the music part, I did enjoy it.. BUT I think super Mario 64 gave me the better adventure though :/Although I haven't played the 64 game I get the just of how it plays. The graphics are a little forgivable but I might have troubles with the camera. Sure it might be fun but it's also frustrating if you fail on certain levels (plus water which is already a pain to some people who hate timers).
So I'd pick Donkey Kong Country. First off the music is awesome, the graphics are better than average, the levels are unique and full of a wide variety of challenges, and you'll love the dialogue from Cranky if you are an avid Nintendo fan because he has a lot of funny little things to say. You cannot beat the Jungle, rain, pond, factory, minecart, hidden warps, minigames, and personality of Diddy Kong and Donkey Kong. If it's a decision of handheld ports then I'd still say the GBA DKC because it has an even higher quality of sound, smaller screen, a sound test area, and a secret Diddy Kong Quest as well as the unlimited time you'll take to 100% each stage, play the 2 main minigames that give you photos, as well as fooling around. Oh and another plus, you can ride animals that counts as like another "heart" to your health bar of 2. Donkey Kong can just uses the ground slap Diddy cannot.
YES! I forgot about the golden animals.... but... I never gotten the flamingo -_-..I'd have to go with DKC on this one. I was literally glued to this game. xD
It's an awesome adventure game, full of levels in many different environments, secret areas to explore and those animals were fun to use from time to time! Collecting those mini gold things in the animal minigames were fun! (I forgot what their names are) They consist of a rhino, swordfish and flamingo.
Some of the levels were really challenging, and needed a lot of goes on them. I eventually did give up but always tried again and again. ^.^
SM64 is still a great game though, don't get me wrong.
Agreed, but DKC was pretty fun alsoSuper Mario 64 was a hard game the starts were hard to get when you are playing on your PC,the graphics were good too plus I never really liked donkey kong games. Some of them were not fun to me.
