Did anyyone here ever collect all the stars? I just remember that it was pretty hard and that you only needed 75 to go aginst bowser so it wasnt a requirement, but yeah are there any 100%ers? and what else do you think about the game

Lol I played the ds version.

There is a wide variety of engaging worlds to roam through such as snow levels or underwater levels. Challenge: Most levels are at good difficulties, though boss battles were a bit too easy. Controls: Touch Screen controls work, but D-pad and button control options are available, and they work really well. One issue, though, is that controlling your character underwater is quite frustrating and hard.

No not all of them but i did manage to get a lot of them on my emulator for the playing the game, most of them was pretty hard and required skill like doing backflips and a jump or something more or less to get the star. You had to get blasted out of cannons and all that.

way too hard to collect them all. Those puzzles though, some I couldn't even progress and complete! I did get a fair amount of starts in the end. Played the VC game on the Wii, and also played the DS remake too. It's a pretty good game, provides a good challenge and lots of worlds/levels to explore and annoying bosses to beat. xD

Super Mario 64 was one of the most memorable games that I played . The game is an amazing vast world and I like it alot . I have never gotten all of the stars but I am hoping to do so very soon . The puzzles are very hard and you need these special tactics and timing but all of this difficulty makes the game very fun to play and I also enjoyed the bosses too , though some are just so annoying XD . Anyway , I am soon finishing up and this is one of the best games and oldest games that you can just play over and over

When I was younger I used to see people on youtube using a gameshark to play as Yoshi. Everyone was busy wanting to play Luigi but I was determined to find yoshi xD. The epic struggle to get all 120 stars was real. I went to the top, saw Yoshi and was so excited. Turns out all he gives you is 99 lives and an upgraded triple jump before going away. Was a bit disappointing but it still felt like a huge accomplishment at the time.

No 100% for me sorry! I liked that game but quite not enough to try and complete it. I'm impressed when someone completes it actually.

I did not get to collect all of the stars but will have to go back. Does anyone know if there is any attempt being made to actually update this to the 3ds with 3d graphics. Not that they have to I guess but it might be fun if I am going to break it out and play it to play an updated version.

Not me. I wish I could've throughly played the game but my rom on my emulator stopped working. It was fun before it stopped and the levels and designed were defentitly good with nice controls from a game that came out in the mid 90's. The game is really fun to what Ive only played overall but the slide level's made me cringe as I kept on falling. XD Oh man I got like 3 game overs..

I actually never got around to 100%-ing it so I am working on that now on the Wii U VC but first gotta finish Ocarina of Time and Wind Waker HD. I hear it is pretty hard. The DS version has more stars though but I dunno. My brother says the N64 version is somehow harder than the DS remake. Still have not gotten around to playing it too long. Once I complete windwaker and Oot then I will definitely give Mario 64 a go at 100%-ing. Hopefully it won't be too hard. I found Mario Galaxy 2 relatively easy to 100% so shouldn't be a problem.

I beat Super Mario 64 DS. I remember getting 149 stars and getting stuck, I ended up watching some Lets Plays. It turned out I needed to beat the hidden slide in like under 20 seconds. But yeah, it took me 3 months, but I did it and unlocked the cannon in front of the castle, which really served no purpose...

Nope. I did not get 100% on super mario 64. I only played the ds version of the game. I loved exploring in the game and jumping on goombas. It took me a year to play most of the game. I thought this game was awesome and worth my money. I reccomend any mario fan get super mario 64.

I played both the 64 version and the DS version. I remember that I did try to collect the stars, after I beat the final boss, which gave me a hard time as a kid. I never got Bowser to hit a bomb that I wanted him to explode. I checked every star there is available in the Star Chart and once I almost managed to collect the secret Stars.

Super Mario 64 is an awesome game to play. Like many previous Mario games, experimentation is integral to the experience of playing. You must explore everything, leave no rock unturned, no mushroom mute, no door unopened. Mario himself has so many possible movements, and the environment is so intensely interactive, that even the least experimental players will spend hours on the first level without achieving anything in particular.

I collected all 150 stars on Super Mario 64 DS, and I was playing on the DS Lite, poor controls and all. For the last star I didn't have (collect 100 coins on Rainbow Ride, or whatever that one was called...), I had to use the touchscreen to navigate most of the level because the platforms there are so curvy and thin...
