Super Mario World for me. I have nostalgic memories of playing it at a friend's house alongwith Mario Kart SNES and laughing myself silly.

I would say the Super Mario Bros 3 because it is a very memorable game and I really enjoyed playing it at my friend's house and it brings really good memories of what Mario was back then . really of all this game is really to me in my opinion the most fun that I ever had in a old Mario game . I still play it sometimes just to get the feel of the game and it is fantastic !!!!!!!!

Super Mario bros 3 is the game to get imo. Played it a couple times when I was just getting into the franchise and it was a really fun and enjoyable game. It was a pretty hard game though, nintendo was cruel back then, but still fun nontheless

It's a tie between Super Mario World and Super Mario All Stars. I voted for World still though. I enjoyed this game so much, it was super fun to play with a friend. I played All Stars later on and liked it so much as well.

Super Mario World for me too.
Originally,I played it on the GBA when I was a little child,that is,until I gave them to my uncle,who broke it somehow some few days later,but I got SMW recently from the Wii U Virtual Console,thanks to Club Nintendo,and I'm having a really nostalgic and fun time while playing it after so many years.It's mainly due to my nostalgia value to this game(like many others),and summed with that factor,I'd say the game is one of Mario's best adventures throughout his long-going videogame career.
I also played the other Mario games on the NES through Super Mario All-Stars,and they're all great classics,but I just think SMW is a little bit better than those within the All-Star package.(But it's most definetly better than what The Lost Levels was )

Super mario world is my favorite 2D mario game. There are so many hidden levels and secrets. The music and level design is great. Haven't actually played Yoshi's island yet, thinking of getting it on club nintendo.

I really prefer Super Mario World, because it is a good game and you have Yoshi, there don't exist anything better than Yoshi. The stages are really nice, beautiful, the song is wonderful and there are cool powe-ups. Super Mario Bros. 1,2 and 3 didn't make me feel like they are too amazing like Super Mario World. The lots of hidden things, secrets are the best things in Super Mario World.

I actually like both equally. Super Mario Bros 3 was the first Mario game that I played when I was young, and it introduced me to the series, although New Super Mario Bros got me into it. Super Mario World was great too, and it also included Yoshi, who is now a favorite to the crowd.

I like Super Mario World. It introduced great new machanics, and it's so colorful and bright. The gameplay is fun and doesn't get stale, and there's so much to do and explore. Also, it was my first official 2D Mario platformer I've played, so I have pretty fond memories. I also like how the Goombas are shaped as Chestnuts, and little quirks like that, and it's such a great game.

I select super mario world,because it was my first game in the snes, and was a incredible game, there are a lot levels, there are some secrets levels, and my favorite world is the star world, with the little star in the middle.
Super Mario World introduce me in the world of videogames, i thing this game was and still a great game for a lot of gamers, cassual, average, hardcore, etc.

Super Mario Bros. 3 (Super Mario Advance 4 version). I've played through that game over 20 times and still love it to this day. The music is so nostalgic, especially the World 1-1 music; every mario fan should know the tune to that level . Super Mario World is amazing as well - more memorable songs and revolutionizing game mechanics; but I still have a bit more of a connection to SMB.3.

If I had to choose, it would definitely be Super Mario World. I loved both of those games but I feel it was super fun playing that game. None of them is nostalgic cuz I played them prettyu recently xD but Super Mario World was actually super fun!
