Super Mario Galaxy 3?!?

So everyone knows that Nintendo NX is most likely the next console, so with that console what Mario games will be on it? I know by brains that Mario kart and Party will be on the NX, but everyone knows that super Mario Galaxy is a great franchise. So I think that Nintendo is planning on a 3rd game for the series. What do you think about super Mario Galaxy 3 maybe being real or not?

Well I guess you are right. It seems every new game of a series (i.e. Mario Kart, Super Mario) come out on the latest console released. I actually expected that Super Mario Galaxy 3 would come out on the Wii U, but it makes more sense if it comes out on the NX. The Wii U's lifespan is almost over.
 
I would love to see how Super Mario Gallery 3 be like. It would be cool to see what Nintendo could come up with regarding a new Super Mario Galaxy on the Wii U, since they opted for a New Super Mario Bros and a Super Mario 3D World instead of a new Galaxy game, but with the Nintendo NX so close to being announced and presumably close to being released it might make more sense if they held off on any big first-party exclusives on the Wii U in order to ensure that the NX has some worthwhile games.
 
I think Mario Galaxy 3 sounds like a great idea, as both of the previous Mario Galaxy games were excellent. However, after seeing the Switch reveal trailer, I am not so sure that this is the direction the are going. Rather, it appears as if they are going in an all new direction in order to show off the new console, rather than make another sequel.
 
Galaxy is my favorite Mario series so I hope for the third game to be made. I loved the first one but I disliked the second due to the ship being...not the observatory. The world's were nice, throwback galaxy <3, and so many stars and medals. I 100%ed Galaxy1 but I never did Galaxy 2. I liked the Yoshi aspects though. I just hope Galaxy 3 takes us to the observatory once again. And the possibilities of worlds from past Mario games (or even other Nintendo games?) becoming planets seems so cool. Imagine a world where it's zelda themed and the last star involves you helping Link defeat Ganon similarity to how you defeat Bowser at the end of Galaxy 2. :0

Yeah, ive been hoping for a mario galaxy 3 too! Super mario galaxy has always been one of my favorite Mario games, along with galaxy 2 as well. Theyre very good games, and ive been hoping nintendo would release a mario galaxy 3 too! I personally don't see anything wrong with it, i know nintendo could do a great job making one given all the cool and creative surprises theyve had in their games ive played! :p
 
I'd prefer a remaster collection for Switch rather than a sequel, the originals still have their technical chops and would look absolutely wonderful on modern hardware.
 
I think a Galaxy game for the Nintendo Switch would be a great way to show off the new system's capabilities. The space environments would probably look absolutely beautiful on the Switch. This would be espescially so if the Switch is able to crank up the FPS higher than 60. A smooth, beautiful, and well controlled game is just what the Switch needs to be the awesome console it hopes to be!

I agree completely! A new mario Galaxy launched on the nintendo switch would be an excellent way to show off the system's new compatibility (or whatever its called, idk sorry if that didn't make sense) along with any potentially new and marvelous graphics i hope to see with this, if nintendo actually does this it gives me another big reason to buy the system even though i already plan to lol :p a nice comeback of mario galaxy here would be very good to see! ;D
