Super Mario Galaxy Announced As The Best Franchise For Wii and Might Hit Wii U Systems Soon

Online gaming publication IGN has awarded Super Mario Galaxy a as game of the last generation.IGN sayed that the Wii classic redefined the gaming genre and gave players a smart and new challenge.

They concluded by saying that it was the most worth game owning a Wii for.

Super Mario Galaxy wasn’t just the greatest 3D Mario game when it was released in 2007 it redefined the platforming genre with new graphics.

Nintendo’s Most best designers remarked from the excellent but still somewhat underwhelming Super Mario Sunshine on the GameCube and unleashed Galaxy exciting,deep adventure that putted together Mario’s traditional fireballs and Koopaling knockouts with a little dose of M.C. Escher.

Its game design is as smart and challenging as it is,and Wii Sports be damned,it was and is the worth owning a Wii for all on its own.

Wow IGN giving a Nintendo such a title? That's new. Galaxy has really nice music and it is a lovely game. I never knew people liked it this much xD I haven't played galaxy 2 and I hope they don't make a third, I've had enough space mario games.
 
I've played both of the Galaxy titles and they're truly a creative 3D/2D platformer series. Can't wait to see what gamepad gimmick they can make to improve the gameplay of a future Galaxy title if they plan on having another. Imagine the fun of a Super Mario Lost Galaxies title.
 
I've played some of Galaxy 2, it was awesome and when I get a Wii U, I'll probably go back and finish it. I hope they make a 3rd Galaxy game, I bet it would sell tons.
 
both games were awesome (first one being the best) I don't think they'll make a 3rd, tbh, but if they do, great. xD

Glad they'll be releasing these on the Wii U, for those who want to play either game once again! =D
 
Whne I first got the Wii, I told my dad I just needed Brawl. We went to the store, I got it, but THIS game got my attention again. I had seen it on E3, I was pretty much a novice before I got the console, and had just started following the video game industry more and more, especially Nintendo.
I had a Gamecube, but the closest I had to a Mario Game was in the GBA Advanced (Mario World).
I saw the trailer for Galaxy, and was, like, meh. But I decided to buy it. And to my surprise, it turned out to be my favorite game on the Wii, period.
The music, the game play, the innovation! All almost perfect! Couldn't stop playing! And was a bit dissapointed when I ended it, but was super excited for the sequel!
By far, well deserving of this title.
 
And I'm currently waiting eagerly for a third game in the series! I mean, Rosalina has gotten a lot of attention as of late, I don't see it as farfecthed to wait for a new one. And on the Wii U? You've got yourself a console seller right there, apart from Mario Kart 8 and Smash.
 
I bought Galaxy 2. it was a fun enough game, but i think Sunshine was the better game. Dont get me wrong, i love space! but i just feel like F.L.U.D.D. was better than the gravity based platforming
 
I loved the first Super Mario Galaxy and it would be awesome if they made another entry for the Wii U, it could be called either Super Mario Galaxy 3 or Super Mario Galaxy U. You could use the gamepad or the usual Wii Remote + Nunchuck, also a real 2 player mode would be nice, with a Luigi as Player 2.
