To enter the codes, open Super Mario Maker, go to the game's manual and click "Enter Code".

Nintendo is always secretly planting in content in the most obscure places. I didn't even see any input bar for codes when I went to the Manual; but that's probably because I only went there once, lol. I'm going to enjoy these for sure.
