It wont. It has been confirmed a long time ago that it wont come on the 3ds or the new 3ds. If you have homebrew, then you can download custom levels for new super mario bros 2 but that is it. Mario Maker is a wii u exclusive, and there is also a wii u bundle in walmart with this game, so it was meant to use the gamepad to the fullest and raise wii u sales.

But it really is not the real thing. Think of it as a simple tiny demo. It really is not the real thing, nor is it even close. No matter what people say, it is not going to come on the 3ds. This was a wii u exclusive so you as a buyer will be motivated to buy a wii u for this specific game. If this game somehow came to the 3ds, no one would buy a wii u, not like the 3ds can handle the maps anyways.

Well, I need a link to whatever you were saying also Its not that, but nintendo never confirmed a 3ds version in the first place. This game is there to make people buy a wii u, and raise sales, since the wii u was not doing to well. Releasing a 3ds version will cut down all potential sales for the wii u. You should also consider the hardware, and the hardware of the 3ds or new 3ds is not powerful enough to handle the levels. Basically, if you want this game, you have to buy a wii u, that is nintendo or pretty much any companies mind set.
