ah, I remember this, a mario game with a twist - to clean up the city with a water device? xD

It was alright, but not a huge fan really.

I played this game, and recently did a rerun of this game. So much memories :)

Never got the chance to play this game. I got into the Game Cube era a year before the Wii came out. I am hoping that the Wii U does a Game Cube Virtual console so I can play a lot of the games I missed.

Super Mario Sunshine was my first GameCube game ( i got it with the GameCube as a bundle on Christmas) and it was fun, i love hovering with the hover nozzle, the rocket nozzle was fun to use and going fast on the water was amazing. I beat the game with the amount of 80 shine sprites and when i tried to get everything, i gave up till later years, i tried again, getting all og the blue coins was annoying, especially noki bay's blue coins since there hard to find sometimes. But once i got all of them and got all the shine sprite, the 100% is disappointing, i wasted almost a whole summer for nothing, trying to get 100% just to see if they have a bonus, like luigi in the game or a extra level with a throwback of a Super Mario 64 level, but nope, just a picture saying: hope you enjoyed you vacation no lifer! overall, is best to best normally than getting 100%.

I was meaning to get this game but never got around to it. I am REALLY hoping they release a gamecube VC. I really need to play Sunshine and Paper Mario the Thousand Year door. They both look like really good games!

In my humble opinion, it is awesome. This is my favorite single-player GameCube title to date. It's completely captivating from the start, and I can't rave enough about the tight controls. It just feels right. However, I am quite disappointed by the vacation theme and Nintendo's stubborness to pay attention to presentation. The story and character design especially is poorly executed. I think Nintendo finds making Peach into a total ditz and Mario into a fat goon amusing, but it feels pretty lame for those of us with some intelligence. If Nintendo truly didn't care about the story, then it shouldn't have even bothered to offer up the poorly done, compressed FMV sequences. At the end of the day, though, SMS is about gameplay. Its depth easily passes by all of the problems with presentation, sound, and visuals. If Super Mario 64 is one of your favorite games, then I'm confident Super Mario Sunshine will be added to that list.

It was an interesting game with plenty of times for the gamer to test their 3D platforming skills and a few minigames. The amount of easter eggs is decent, the intro and graphics were excellent and it's an interesting premise that is completely unique and I wish they did this more often with Mario games 2D or 3D. Some may find gameplay to be challenging at times which I agree with (especially at the end) however it's still a fun game but it also adds a few minor puzzle elements in certain stages unique to this game besides just different boss battles for example the fiery Chain Chomp task. It's just a game you can enjoy whether you fall off and have to get back up to a platform or you want to find every hidden Shine Sprite in the islands secret levels.

I think Super Mario Sunshine is very cool and awesome. I love the design it looks pretty nice. Super Mario Sunshine shares many similar gameplay elements with its predecessor, Super Mario 64, whilst introducing various new gameplay features. Similar to collecting Stars in Super Mario 64, players obtain Shine Sprites by clearing various objectives given to Mario upon entering each stage, with more objectives unlocked in each level after clearing an existing one.

This game is my third-favorite Mario plataformer, just below 64 and Galaxy. The visuals are stunning and have barely aged, especially the water effects, it introduced one of my favorite villains in the series, Bowser Jr. (Who, IMO, is better than the Koopalings in all ways) and packed some real challange \o/
