Super Smash Bros for 3DS has sold over 2.8 million copies!
It's one of the the few 3DS games to make it into the millions.
And think, with the holidays coming up, sales will go up much much more!

Still don't have a copy?

Wii U version might actually cut down 3ds version sales but I'm not really sure...

It's deserved. It's fun and it's worked to near-perfection in many ways. And to think, I'm saying this when I haven't even tried multiplayer yet due to fear of the 136-year ban thingamijig.

An interesting and possibly correct inference, but I don't imagine they will do so too much because the 3DS is more prevalent than the Wii U.

Due to bad internet connection? I'm curious about this game, but I decided to skip SSB since I'm afraid I couldn't play online smoothly .__.
This kind of game is eternal... with online leaderboard stuff and (virtual) neighbors to spend time together, it's a YES. Congrats, Ninty.

Well the 3ds version wasn't technically meant to be the full game it was more of a teaser or a basic idea of what the wii u version would be like along with how the characters are used and introducing the player to the way the game will function on the wii u but it's just a thought nobody really knows what's gonna happen until it really happens so we'll just wait and see

Man, I want this game so bad. I can only imagine the numbers of Majora's Mask 3D sales when it comes out...
On a side note, i don't think that the 3DS version was meant as a side grade, it is a wonderful game all by itself.

Well deserved for the 3DS version. I don't worry for the Wii U one, since this one have more content, I bet it will sell well too (+ count me in when I'll have a Wii U!), and Reggie even said that SSB4 Wii U has beaten Mario Kart 8 when it comes to pre-ordered copis !

Yes. I don't want to be disconnected from a match and then find out I'm banned for life. It's ridiculous.

It's indeed a game of infinite replay value :D

I don't think that's how it is - the 3DS version is different due to hardware limitations, but I don't imagine it's been made any less fun. :panda:

I think we all saw this coming, no surprise, smash 3DS has done very well and exceeded smash fans' expectations and much more. Nintendo actually pulled off a smash game on a handheld console. ;)

Nobody should worry about the online banning. I have disconnected from a match before and only got like a 15 minutes ban, never more than that even though I disconnected quite some times. So yeah, I'd encourage everyone to try it, the famous glitch that's happening appears to be extremely rare.

Definitely not surprising, which I don't mean as a bad thing. For one, it's Super Smash Bros.!! Who doesn't like this fighting series. Plus, this new game has impressive 60 FPS graphics, a plethora of characters, and tons of content. I don't have this game yet, but I don't need it to know that it has impressed several people!

"several"? Try millions. :p So what's the deal there? You clearly seem into Smash Bros., so are you just holding out for Super Smash Bros. for Wii U?

It is so close...the day after tomorrow, it's gonna be a countdown to midnight! <3 Soon, that Smash logo placeholder on my Wii U Menu will stop teasing me...

@Aerius Sygale I've just been very very busy lately and haven't gotten the chance lately to get the game from a local retailer. Although, I more than likely will try the link Nova posted above.

Cool. ^.^ Who do you think will be your main character(s)? Main are Charizard, Lucario, and Bowser. ;D Then although I hate the voice now, Fox would be my next best after that. ^^'

Don't know why they had to go and butcher absolutely all the Star Fox characters' voices this time around. >_<

Lol I think Fox's voice is even better and fits his game's personality. Even the first title he was in the voicing was cheesy (not on purpose though). The voices are from the same people who voiced them in SF64.

Nintendo marketed it very well. I wonder how sales will be for Wii U- will it save the console?
Many Smash fans are getting a Wii U just for the game. It's one of the games worth buying the most in my opinion.
Sadly my internet sucks at the moment so I don't play the game online much. I think that's the best part of having the game. Although I do wish we could add people we play in for fun/for glory. Played with some people & we ended up messing around- it's like an unspoken communication lol. It was fun.

Yeah, but err, that was very long ago, -they- don't sound like -they- used to way back when, so at this point it didn't make much sense, could probably have gotten someone else altogether that is younger to do a better -impression- of how they used to sound, if they really wanted to go that way, for nostalgia or whatever. <.<
