For the GC. What are your thoughts? a good way to start the Smash series? favorite mode/character?
 
I used to play this game all the time! I can't remember what my favorite mode was called (it was just a general battle one), but my favorite character was Link. He didn't have that great of powers but I just liked playing him. I also would play as Kirby sometimes.
 
My friend and I put so much of our teen lives into this game, playing it hours on end each day. Loved the game, it had a good flow, solid mechanics and good characters, minus a few.

Loved the adventure mode, that was such a good addition to the game.

I was much better at the game than my friends, so they would always try to team up on me to take me out first. 90% of the time it ended up with me beating both of them (or all three) down and still winning. Every now and then they'd get me, though it didn't happen often. It got to the point where I could not get them to play team vs team, because the two that weren't on a team with me would say that it was too unfair.

Still had a lot of good times though.
 
This is honestly my favorite Smash game, and probably always will be (unless 4 manages to outdo it). Adventure Mode was awesome. Too bad my Melee disc stopped working. :(
 
Super Smash Bros. Melee is my favorite Super Smash Bros. game so far. I have many great memories playing the game with my family and friends. I think I sold the game, which I regret if I did.

My favorite mode was the Adventure Mode. I remember getting scared of the ReDeads in the Underground Maze level as a little kid... I would always get my older sister's friend to beat it for me, haha! :rotfl:

Also, my favorite character was Ness, because I loved using his special moves.
