Support Banette

I've been playing a lot with Mega Banette but i noticed that almost every Banette in existence is the same: Will-o-Wisp, Shadow Sneak and bond trap. So, i tried a different Banette:

Banette @ Banettite
Ability: Frisk
EVs: 252 HP / 112 Def / 144 SpD
Careful Nature
- Disable
- Knock Off
- Thunder Wave
- Taunt

I don't see this a lot so why not? It's actually pretty good when well predicted on support pokémons like Ferrothorn but sometimes it gets completly destroyed. So, i wanted to know other movesets like this one from the community. The trolier, the best! Cheers!

Probably because Mega Banette is the worst mega in existance so many people do not care wheter or not its good? xD

The (only) set recommended by Smogon is

Banette @ Banettite

- Shadow Claw/Will-o-Wisp

Why frisk? That wouldn't help at all since you can easily tell what item a poke is using within 2 turns. Insomnia at least prevents sleep which sucks (sleep) X_X

Disable, why? Its not that good of a move to be honest. TWave on a Banette isn't the best option, since you want to keep Banette alive, you would use Will to reduce the attack. It doesn't need to outspeed. Taunt is ok but sucker punch is a better option. Plus you need Destiny Bond since Banette dies quite easily.

I don't like the idea of Insomnia simply because almost every sleep inducing move is grass and it can be countered with another grass type. Some Yanms and Hypnosis might appear, sure, but they're more rare. Another thing is that Will-o-Wisp, Destiny Bond and Sucker Punch are the moves that almost everbody uses. That's the point of my moveset: be different and suprise! I really believe that that Prankster has potential and this was a combination i found.

Another thing: the worst mega is Mega Houndoom for sure

Mega houndoom isn't the worst, he just needs to be on a sun team. Weather teams got nerfed though, which is why he, and mega Swampert aren't really used. On Pokémon Showdown, I run cotton guard on Mega Banette when I use it.

In fact, i like that idea. Along with Will-o-Wisp, it would work pretty well for a physical defensive setup. The only problem i see (and probably the biggest one) is the need to switch out on a special attacker that comes in. That whole loss of setup really hurts my heart!
