Support moves in battle

Support moves raise a Pokemon's stat(s). Let's take Bulk up for an example. It raises the attack and defense. It's used by fighting types.

What are your favorite support moves to use in battle? or do you not use them at all and prefer to go on the offensive and attack? (like me!) :p

Make sure you state which stats they raise, and the type it belongs to.
 
Tailwind for sure :D (It's flying type) It boosts the whole team's speed which is particularly important especially in competitive play since going first can be a very crucial advantage point. Reflect and Light Screen (psychic) are also really good too. My support Sigilyph has all three of these moves :3
 
For doubles I like using Reflect and Light Screen, making my team more sturdier while the other Pokemon would just go in and attack everything else xD. I also like using Calm Mind on my Mega Alakazam to give it super strong Special Attack, and make it have some better Special Defense. One last move I like is Dragon Dance on my Dragonite, since it has Multiscales it would be sturdy enough to last one hit, then get the Dragon Dance boost (and sometimes Weakness Policy) to give it amazing Attack and Speed to defeat all the other Pokemon :p
 
Mostly screens because they double your defenses in battle. I thought status was considered part of a support Pokémon but stat boosters are also my favorite. Mainly stat boosters that increase your stats by 2 point or added up 2 points (one in one stat and one in the other) like Stockpile, Acid Armor, Shell Smash (with Shuckle and sweeping), Iron Defense, Health boosting (so healing) and of course Swords Dance and Nasty Plot. Dragon Dance is meh because of the risk/reward but it's very useful for late game sweeps.
 
I love using Screens in Double Battles to help keep my frail Pokemon survive at least one hit. Screens are normally used by Psychic types. Tailwind is one I really love using. It doubles you teams speed for 3 turns. It's normally used by flying types. The one support move I love above all others is Dragon Dance. It boosts your Attack and Speed by 1 stage. You can sweep a whole team if you use it correctly. Dragon Dance is usually used by Dragons. (Hence the name DRAGON Dance.)
 
I also love Light screen and Reflect in double battles! They really help with keeping my frail Pokemon alive for one more hit like @munster1025 said. My favourite would have to be swagger though. I love it with meowstic because it can use safeguard and then start using swagger on you teammates to boost their attack stat! It's awesome and very helpful sometimes ^,^
