You can get free items in Breath of the wild after getting the Paraglider. First, save and close your game. Then, go to the news section on your switch and select a Botw article. In every single Botw article, there is a free item you can get for starting up the game from the article. For example, you can get
. It will spawn in a chest or just at your feet upon starting up your save file. However, I am not sure how to do this on Wii U, due to no news app. Well, enjoy your free stuff! (Better instructions: Home menu > News > Any Botw article > Start Botw)
