This is what I read on Reddit.
Well, I'm off to Target as we speak...hopefully I can grab the Mario & Luigi edition.

Edit: Sweet Jesus! I got one and my Target (Coralville, IA) had tons of 'em! I can't believe I got a limited edition system with a great game installed for less than $150!!

The 10% off storewide discount given at the register works on top of the sale price. (It does not work on video games.) I just picked up the mario and Luigi bundle for $135.

I know Target is offering a flat 10% discount only today because of the credit card hack. On top of that the 3DS bundle is also on sale. So, this looks like a great deal for anyone looking to get the system. 2DS can suck it. :D

Did you check anywhere other than Reditt to confirm? Does this apply to all North America Targets or just Targets in that area? Maybe it was a store-specific thing on that?
 
Should have gone to North America :L the 3DS here when bought from there they will increase the price for about like a $100 here so its much more expensive to buy the 3DS XL or 3DS :L

Well, it's gone now but it was available all across North America wherever Target store is situated. They already had sales on 3DS XL add an extra 10% discount and it was one helluva deal.

well that's too bad. I already had a 3DS XL so I wouldn't have had much use for it but I'm sure this would have been a great present for someone I guess.

Exactly , bet many people from North America would want to get their hands on a 3DS XL that is really cheap and they could afford bet some greedy people bought like 5 lol

um. that's a bit stereotypical don't you think? If there are any of these "greedy people" that did that it'd be kinda rare and they would have probably did that to GIVE to someone else as a present, so it's not really being greedy.
