As seen by these screenshots, and from further inspection by Serebii, Team Rocket is said to make an appearance in Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon. Not only that, but it is shown that they take over Aether Paradise. It is unconfirmed what role they will serve, but more will soon come in the following weeks before the game's release.

What do y'all think about Team Rocket's rocking return? Will they rock out Alola? Or will they blast off again?

Team Rocket back!?!?!?!?!?!? I liked their appearance in the gen 5 Games (my first and favorite Pokémon games) and to not see them in SuMo made no sense to me (since SuMo is the 20th pokemon anniversary game) but at least they’re in USUM.
 
I know! I also heard other villain teams will be showing up as well, perhaps all of them. I'm not holding my breath for that, though. Just having TR in there is enough to get me ready for these games!

They shouldn’t be but I won’t be too mad if that become the case. Slight changes in dialogue depending on version is fine IMO.
 
It's kind of scary, when you think about it. Why are past villain teams coming back in this one game? This makes USUM seem like it's going to be like a grand finale, going-out-with-a-bang type of game.

...It would make sense, I hear it's confirmed that USUM are going to be the last games for the 3DS before main series games start to be released on the switch.

When i played black and white i did not see any sign of them if you are talking about soul silver and heart gold those games are actually gen 2 remakes

Either way, they'd make a sick comeback if Jesse and James made a cameo in the games!

This was not what I had expected. Why would they bring back Team Rocket if we already have an evil team? Oh yeah, it's because we already have the VC and they appeared in Gens 1 and 2 or they just want to bring back old fans. I don't mind them in the game but that's not the evil team I would've put in there. I'm curious as to what the interactions between the evil teams will be. Maybe the Recon Squad will join the player in a multi battle with Team Rocket. Will Team Rockets costumes be in the game too (because the Recon Squad costume is there)? It certainly looks like this is the end of Pokémon because this is what they'd do when they run out of ideas.

There is a 8th generation coming to the nintendo switch after ultra sun and ultra mon althrough i am not sure if it is a reboot or a continuation

Anyway i have already paid the full price for pokemon ultra moon about a month ago so all i need to is wait for it to come out and we will find out the whats happening so i hope team rocket has returned and maybe they're going to be like rivals to team skull, honestly I have no idea what is going to happen but i hope the story of ultra moon will be good

If i wanted anyone to return in ultra sun and ultra moon it would be Cyrus from gen 4

The only poison grass types in 1st gen i know of are the evolution lines of Bulbasaur, oddish and bellsprout so it must be one of those unless it is the alolan form which is becoming a grass poison type so honestly I don't know
