Terraria for Wii U and 3DS??? What are your thoughts?

Not bad. This better not be a N3DS exclusive or I'll go mad. On another hand, that would be great to have it, since I liked the PC version, and the Android version doesn't even work (installed through the Amazon AppShop while it was free) !

So, I'm okay for it.
Cool, I've got it on Steam and I play by myself, but I'm excited to play it with my friends who have N3DS and Wii U's.

I already own it on my Vita (thanks PS+) though it'd be nice to see it come to Wii U and especially 3DS. The latter needs some more popular indie games :panda:

I WILL BE GETTING THIS GAME!!! IT JUST LOOKS AMAZING!!! I thought it was kind of a stupid game at first, but then you know, how are you going to judge a game if you don't play it first? well I tried it and I really liked it, anyway it was a friend's game, so when I knew this game was coming to the nintendo platforms I say I got to have it!

"Publisher 505 Games will soon add Nintendo Wii U and 3DS to Terraria‘s growing platform roster, according to new product pages from game rental service GameFly. The news comes from a hawk-eyed NeoGAF user who recently spotted GameFly’s placeholders. Although threadbare, the Wii U and 3DS pages are certainly no accident. Both bear a release date of October 31, 2015 and cite 505 Games directly, so it’s safe to assume the listings are legitimate.
Of course, the nature of GameFly’s delivery means Terraria will make its way to Nintendo systems through retail. It’s a stark departure from its previously all-digital debuts, including its recent PlayStation 4 release. The game’s official box art has yet to be revealed, and will likely be paired with an official announcement from 505 Games or Terraria‘s developer, Re-Logic. In addition, we can expect its presumably tentative, October release date to change with future updates. With any luck, it will still hit shelves by or during fall 2015.

Sheer controller real estate and a responsive touch screen makes Wii U a promising home for Terraria, but I have my reservations about a 3DS version. UI and menus will likely see an overhaul for both systems, but trying to get the handheld’s comparatively small screens to cooperate with building and boss fights sounds like tedium in the making. Terraria is a comfortable fit on Vita, but owes much of its ease of use to the Vita’s large screen and dual analog sticks. Here’s hoping the 3DS’ stylus actions can help alleviate the grind. If nothing else, the rumored February release of New 3DS and 3DS XL may help prop things up. Maybe there’ll even be Nintendo-themed content in these ports!"

Oh, so this is a confirmed thing? That's pretty awesome then. I'm wondering if Minecraft will ever make its way to Wii U/3DS (forgive me if it already is). I think it would work better on the Wii U than on the 3DS, given the gamepad and touchscreen and stuff, sort of like the Pocket Edition.

I have terria on my ipad and thought it was pretty good but not amazing. I played it for maybe a month before just leaving the game. Might pickup a 3ds one because i might play longer with easoer controls.

I think that this is a pretty good idea. You can play terraria on the go. But I worry if the controls are going to be that good. I also think there should be online for this. Terraria can also make a lot more money because of this. I probably will be getting this game.
