The All Important Question

This is a really old question, back from 199x. The question says: "If you have a choice between being super smart but without emotions or a normal human life, what would you choose, and why?"

I'd choose to be a human being, I think the pleasure of love, bonding, empathy, etc. makes a life more enjoyable.

Pros of a human:

• Emotions (bonding, empathy, emotions..)
• Enjoyment
• People can love you
• You're unique (don't really stand out)

Cons of a human:

• Mental pain

Pros of a superhuman:

• Super Smarts
• No pain but physical pain
• Have improved technology
• Stand out

Cons of a superhuman:

• No emotional pleasure
• Inability to bond
• People won't be as close to you

I'm a superhuman already so I'd go with being a human. But if you don't believe I am a superhuman then I'd have to go with being a super human.

Human. Emotion/bonding is important for anyone. Having no feelings as a superhuman is sad. =(
