I got first place trophy the first time playing the fishing tourney. I just simply caught an oarfish, and Bam! I won, by alot.. It was surprisingly easy sadly..

the longer you are playing that day the harder it gets. also if you get a shark type of fish you almost definetly get 1st. but if you want to do that than thats ur choice.

good idea, what do you do when it is only carp or whatever? i usaly get 1st also unless i am not playing much that day. but there is a thing that works called gold rod.

also to anyone looking forward to doing this again you will wont be able to for quite a while. (with out tting) because it is the bug off coming up for the next few months. also remember if you got every bug talk to the guy and he will give you a gold net.

I mever enjoyed fishing much I found it boring

The first time I was in a fishing tourney, I got 3rd place. The next time I entered, I got 1st place and received my Gold Trohpy, which is in display. Pretty much after that, I really didn't participate in other fishing tourneys, since I wouldn't play the game at that time. Also, it is a bit hard to catch fish that don't even come to your rod.
