Well the name explains it all, I'm a huge Jak And Daxter fan, Jak X being the first game I ever owned, and just want to discuss with others post what you will just try to keep the topic of Jak.

Anyone... PLZ? No Jak fans.... Anywhere? Is this the wrong place to post this? Derp...

I heard about the saga and some of it's game but never interested me, some people criticized it and say that it's a bad version of Rachet and Clank (I read that somewhere long ago) so it never sparked for me to play it. Why do you like it ?

A lot of stuff, and considering Jak X was a spinoff racing game, I would't say I'm nostalgia blind. First I don't know where you heard that, Ratchet and Clank came after, and I think it's worse. The music is good and it always seems to fit. The story is just amazing, every game built on it an it never seems to gap over anything. The only one that did was Jak 4 but that was made by High Impact (You know R&C: Size Matters?) and is godawful. The gameplay is tight with good controls but is incredibly tough.

The first game was great, I really enjoyed it as I played the PS3 collection. But when I moved on to the second game I was disappointed when it turn into a GTA clone with very horrible racing and car movement controls. but I stuck with the game and finished it and moved on to the third game which was mainly about racing which I finally gave up on this series.

Different strokes for different folks I guess, the third game didn't really have all that much racing to me and the second one is only a GTA clone if you make it one you never actually have to alert the guards or steal cars, I enjoyed the whole series.

the second game was GTA, you did missions and you used vehicles getting around and battling the local law enforcement.

Not sure if we played the same 3rd game then, in the first ten minutes of the game I did 3 different racing quests. unless it lessens after those three.

They lessen quite a bit, while there is the annoying bit of racing missions they're mostly to get around at least if you choose to stay in Haven City most of the time, and I guess you're right for the second one, it's best element is it's story I guess.

Oh I am not a fan of the Rachet & Clank games (since I haven't played any) I just can't remember who I heard that from anyways, well anyways it does look like a fun game, does it have a Jak game for the PSP ? That's the only chance I can get to play a Jak game then.

There is a "midquel" to Jak 1 and 2 where you only play as Daxter, and... Jak 4, but really it's only bad because it doesn't fit with Jak, it's a decent intro to the series and a decent side story, not correct to the story but a fun game in it's own right.

I've played all 3 in the main series. I really miss playing them =(

they were really good. My kind of game, tbh. I like doing the missions/using guns! xD

My favorite PS2 series. Did you play the Lost Frontier? (Technically main series)

which one is that? Don't think I've played that one. Maybe I missed it. xD

I remember there was a racing game based on Jak. Is it that?

No (and I love the Racing game to death) it was a recent one made by a seperate company. It's a good game but it's not as good as any of the other Jak games.

I own the first 3 games, 2 being my favourite. It's a GTA clone only on the surface, the actual gameplay is still very much action-platforming with racing and mini-games thrown in for variety.

3 felt kinda rushed. It was shorter, Light Jak had little use outside of the training areas and glitch abuse, Veger was a very 1-dimensional villain and they just kinda pushed Keira to the side in favor of Ashelin. The story also seemed to be all over the place with no clear focus on anything. I also wasn't a fan of how Jak now wanted to just "blow stuff up". At least in Jak 2 he had a reason to cause mayhem (revenge).

I've played Jak X a bit, it seemed ok. I also tried Lost Frontier and Daxter. Daxter seemed ok, Lost Frontier was kinda meh. I hope Naughty Dog decides to bring us a proper sequel at some point.

If you've never played any games in the series, do yourself a favor and get the HD trilogy.

It is a great series. However, the series is kind of old. I hope future game will be release soon.

I can agree with 2 being my favorite, but I can't agree with you on Jak 3.
Admittedly, Light Jak to me was only interesting for story, and only in a minor way. I didn't find Veger to be
one-dimensional, his connection although he wasn't fully fleshed out, I felt his connections to child Jak and
sadistic "The end justifies the means" personality to be rather interesting. As far as Keira/Ashelin goes, I was a bit
disappointed, especially considering the past Keira and Jak shared, however I ultimately payed little attention to it.
Also how did you find that Jak just wanted to "Blow stuff up?" He had his reasons, a growing loyalty to Damos who
he was beginning to see as a father figure (Before he found he found out Damos was his father figure) and a hatred for
the city which turned his back on him. The story was again unfortunately scattered, with being able to go from Spargus to Haven with their differing stories randomly.

I really love Jak X, it's easily my favorite racing game. Lost Frontier was garbage as a Jak game. It's another title that if it lost the franchise, I might enjoy.

maybe it wasn't released where I live :p

oh, and I've played Daxter (PSP) too. That was an awesome game. He deserves his own game for sure. It did get hard at times though. Go Daxter! ;)
