I personally have never done a locke challenge, but I plan to do a Smearlocke soon. What is a "Smearlocke", you ask? My friend, @Annoying Dog has made up this certain challenge. I'll ask him if he'll let me tell you guys about it. If you don't know what locke challenges are, they are playthroughs of Pokemon games, but with special clauses. These clauses may include only using 1 kind of Pokemon, only being able to catch 1 Pokemon per area, or even getting rid of a Pokemon for good after it faints, or many more challenges players have made. In this thread you can come up with lockes, report on yours, or just chat about them in general. Let me know what you guys think about lockes.

Hi. Back again. If anyone's reading this, you probably think this is getting annoying. Sounds pretty fun, being the chess nerd I am.

Randomized Lockes are always fun 
I see a lot of people do WedLockes recently, basically you make Pokemon pairs based off genders (kinda like shipping) and the Pokemon have to fight together. Rules can be customized for same sex pairs if desired. These lockes also get fun and creative stories made out of them, so every time you play this locke there's always something new to come about with them ^-^

I see Marriland doing a Wedlocke of Pokemon X and although it started as a April Fools prank, he continued making the series because everyone loved itRandomized Lockes are always fun

My favorite challenge is something I came up with and something I call Avatar challenge. Basically you chose what nation are you going to be (fire, water, earth or air) and depending on what nation you choose you can use those pokemon, for example if you choose fire nation you can use dragon, dark, electric and fire types, earth nation you can use rock, steel, ground and fighting and so on. It so much fun

There are so many lockes out there, some are really well known, others not so much. I have no name for this challenge I created but here are the rules:
Nuzlocke rules that apply :
-You can only catch the first Pokemon you find on that route
-Nicknames must be given to Pokemon
-Once a Pokemon faints it is considered dead, you must put it in the pc or release it
Rules and optional rules that apply to this locke :
- Pokemon you catch have to be paired with another Pokemon of the same 'theme' (mandatory unless you pick the one below)
- If you want an easier challenge you can not pair up pokemon, instead you can just create your team corrisponding to your chosen theme (mandatory unless you picked the one above)
-If you encounter a shiny Pokemon you may catch and use it, regardless of if it stays true to your chosen theme you may also pair it up with any Pokemon (optional)
-Dupes clause is in effect, meaning if you encounter a Pokemon you've already caught as your first encounter, you can have a second encounter
-If one Pokemon of a pair faints, both are considered dead (mandatory if your doing the pair one)
-Shiny Pokemon can always be revived (optional)
-Not allowed to use your starter (optional depending on the theme)

By themes you can choose from I mean you could make your own if you wanted to, you can decide what Pokemon are in each theme, but I will be providing a list of recommended themes
