The Koopalings?

Your opinion on the Koopalings in SSB4

So I just figured out that upon unlocking Baby Bowser (or Bowser JR) you can change his appearance to each of the Koopalings! Just want to know what you guys think about it, was it a waist of time? Or should they have been separate characters, I personally love the idea. What about you guys?
 
It was a very good idea. I love it. they should've done this for Dr. Mario, and Pit. But w/e I'm not complaining.

My favorite is probably Larry. Aren't some moves different depending on which koopaling you play?
 
@SaToRi I'm pretty sure all the moves are exactly alike in pretty much every way ;) they're just skins, not clones. I think it was a good idea to do this instead of making separate characters! Good job Nintendo!

I personally think that this is a great idea! I love how that with all of the Koopalings, there's always one for everyone! I also like how they are skins of each other! If they were all clones, that would be horribly annoying. :banghead: How Nintendo did it, it works out great! :D
 
I was so happy once I saw you could play as the koopalings for two reasons! one: I get to play as Iggy Koopa. and 2: It proves some characters heights dont matter when it comes to alternate costumes. It also makes me wonder why lucina, dark pit and Dr. mario didnt just stay as clones but alph did. Also, Brittany, Charlie, and Louie for DLC alternate costumes for olimar! it will work! just look at bowser jr!

Dr. Mario, Dark Pit and Lucina were planned to become alternate costumes, but since their attributes were different than that of their host character, they were made into clone characters. As for Alph, he had no difference in his attributes, so he remained as an alternate costume for Olimar, so dont expect and more Pikmin alternate costume characters any time soon, if at all.
 
I love them! Since I don't own a Wii U , I couldn't play as any Koopaling before Smash. I'm glad they're alternate costumes of Jr.
