Hmm... Well if this is the case, well it may be there to help the 3ds and the wii u, not be a new console. It will help them get more sales form the 3ds and the wii u. This probably means it can be a streaming device of some sort that gives ads to help out the 3ds and the wii u. Some 3rd pillar support also, maybe some phone games like the Ouya. SO this is not nintendos next console, its something smaller to clarify. It will support the 3ds and wii u, hopefully get more sales from them.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. They haven't revealed what it is yet, and so much hype is in place. It was supposed to be something that connects the Wii U and 3ds or something. Globally-Nintendo compatible. =P

I hope it is not overly hyped and that we won't be disappointed!

I hate when it happens ._. But Yay for global compatibility!

The 3DS and wii u are doing quite good together so I don't think, and I don't hope that the NX should replace either of the console. It would be great if link and/ or backward compatibility with the 3ds and wii u is possible in the nx, and there is a chance of that happening I guess...

I'm all for global compatibility in the NX too =P

I think I read this somewhere but I hope the NX is region free/globally compatible. Nintendo said they were experimenting with it and I hope they weren't just talking about Amiibos.

This all leads me to believe that Nintendo is heck'a serious when they say the NX is going to be unique. A console that is everywhere because everyone who has a smartphone or computer also has a demo to the NX itself :p

I hope that the NX goes alongside the 3DS and wii U. I don't want it replacing them.

I doubt it will be a replacement, but since Nintendo got into mobile gaming, what are the chances it's a Nintendo gamephone? That would be epic.

Look at that beauty! I'd buy it in a heartbeat. So I'm hoping that instead of some linking device the NX turns out like this.

That might actually be pretty good o:

To be honest, I wouldn't really mind the NX being some sort of linking device as long as it has some sort of appealing aspect to it. If it's going to be a gamephone, I wonder if it'll have some sort of unique operating system of their own :p (instead of android/ios)

Gotta wait till E3. It can be anything, and I guess people are pretty hyped to see what it can be.

Lol, that would be a dream come true. I guess after seeing this, I guess I really now am pretty excited for this E3. Lol, gonna have to wait till June.

Words cannot give a clear description as to how awesome that looks! If the NX did look like this or something of the manner, I'd pay for it, and would love it to bits, lol. :p

What do you mean with ' appealing aspect'? As in, looking really pretty?
Another reason to think it's something else is Nintendo said it to be a console. A linking device really isn't a console, and if they wanted to link their games, wouldn't there be an easier way than to come up with a whole new device?

If the NX looked like that, I could combine my console budget and my phone budget so that would stretch my price limits pretty far. I really hope they're making a game phone!

The appealing aspect would be the sort of feature/design/other which makes you want to get the NX (as a game phone). Something which makes it differ from the other consoles :p

Ah, right.

This is actually my most anticipated result where the NX does not actually replace the 3DS or Wii U in console life. I just want it to be something that makes Nintendo more popular in the market without dumping down a whole new system on us lol.

You know what? I'd kinda be hyped for that Nintendo gamephone, it looks reaaaallly nice, although then again I'd rather just see NX being a new home console/hybrid because honestly, Wii U isn't doing too well and 3DS still does have maybe a year or two left to put some really good titles out before they might have to consider a new handheld, in which case a hybrid could work out, with the gamepad thing being released a short while after the home console. Of course, I don't want the NX to launch if Nintendo can't get more good titles out with several coming out every month (probably a stretch, but hey, they need more games) , in which case, delay NX until you know you can support it heavily, unlike Wii U.

All I care is if I can use my GameCube controller on it ;-;

You might get the Smash port, if that's all that matters XD

Not a console? I don't care. Nintendo did other stuff besides video games. No it's good to see them outside of gaming again. Because Nintendo was originally a card company, then a toy company, and finally into gaming. So I'm fine with this.
