Hi everybody,

As you might have seen in my status update, seems like somebody found a deadly exploit by using Olimar and a character that can reflect projectiles (ie: Fox's Down-B)

The P3A, meaning Persistant Pikmin Power Amplification is a deadly glitch consisting to throw a pikmin onto somebody who can reflect it, and by having Olimar (or Alph) use the Order Tackle attack after the reflect.

As found out by the guy, the result turns to be deadly, as your enemy will get to 100% damage in a split-second, and, that will instant KO him/her.

Here's a video showing the exploit:

But, it requires custom moves to be turned on, so, if you don't use them, you're pretty much safe.

So, what do you think ?

i think it could be fun to use on my friends. in fact, since i was a "test subject" when we tried the black hole glitch, i think it'll be a fun way to get revenge on them for being glitched to death :sneaky:

I'm not into the SSB scene but I have played the games casually and this kind of thing almost always happens to fighting games that let you customize the move list. I'm sure Nintendo will eventually patch this but the repercussions this kind of thing can have on the tournaments (as pointed out by an article on Kotaku) wouldn't be too damning as custom moves haven't been truly accepted yet.

Yep, but I'm wondering after seeing the video twice if the thing is working even without CM disabled, because you can see Fox use all of his reflectors, even his regular one, so maybe that'd mean that it would do "regular damage" with the regular reflector, and damage depending on the reflector's strength if customs are enabled.

And yes, I think Nintendo will patch it sooner or later. Otherwise, Olimar will be the new top-tier threat, even making Diddy Kong look like Ganondorf.

The most shocking thing about this is that someone actually played as Olimar. xD Nah, but there are glitches like this all of the time. If needed and complained about enough, Nintendo will surely patch it out. Just like the Nabbit glitch, as it crashes the game.
