So, before I dive in to this, here's this: http://kotaku.com/how-to-create-a-convincing-fake-smash-bros-rayman-leak-1685954159
It's fake. It's 100% fake. There is no room in this thread to tell me how real this is, because it's not real. The person who made it explained how he did this, and it's fake. But now I'm here to tell you what I think will come of this.
So what happens now? Well, it's easy. Look at the hype. Even people that knew it was fake wanted to believe it. Rayman's a loved character, and owned by Ubisoft or not, it's a real possibility. Even more so now.
While I'm leaning towards the thought that Nintendo was behind this, I'm not certain. But it doesn't matter if they were or not. The hype surrounding this character is 100% real, and this now becomes a REAL possibility as future DLC.
So, what do you think? Was this all a reaction test to see if people wanted Rayman as a character, or was this just a Rayman/Ubisoft fan creating a fake picture to act like it was a real leak?
The first option makes more sense to me, but who knows, right? I want to know what you think.

- Rayman was rumored for Smash 4. Instead, he got a trophy. It's better than no appearance at all, right?
- So then, people were confused as to why he got a trophy in the first place. A Ubisoft character in Smash? What!?
- But even after it was confirmed Rayman wouldn't be in Smash 4, he was still getting a lot of hype from the fanbase of Smash.
- It started to die down..so then the leak happened. The infamous picture featuring Rayman (and Mewtwo already?) in Smash as not only a trophy, but a playable character.
- This picture was on 4Chan before it was created in the video everyone has come to know now.
