Since the release of Ocarina of Time on the N64, multiples controversies and game breaking theories have arisen. Though this theory has been officially debunked by Nintendo, it is still one the most controversial theories around; all because of a simple shield design. What are your thoughts on this?

Do you mean the one where they're seems to be another tri-force piece in the lower section of the Hylian Shield ? I've heard of that one . I personally don't think it's true because the series usually goes with things of three ( like Tri - force , The three spiritual stones , etc . )

Though it could be true but it's just a theory

Well in previous zelda games like four swords, minish cap, majoras mask. There has been significance with the number 4. 4swords: four links red, blue, green, and purple minish cap: 4 elements red blue green blue purple. majoras: 4 giants corresponding to one of the 4 areas.
