Uh.. No, not talkin' about a peculiar family vacation, y'know.
what would be a strange thing you're not allow to use/do for a odd reason?

My Top 3 would be

3. Not allowed to save a Naruto game after arc 4 before I made my bed before my mother did herself.
2. Not allowed to visit THIS site before I get a better chair for my Computer (Oddly enough, this ended last week, and I not even live with them anymore!)
1. Scan my mother Computer for virus weekly, until I apologize to the kid I fought (beat) at school.

Try to top that up!

Here's one. I just went from a heavily academic focused private school that I flunked out of, and now I'm in a public school. Because it's public school, my mom expected straight As (even though she should know by now that I'm the opposite of a straight A student). Naturally, she checked my grades and was upset....because I have a C in math, a B in Chem, and an A in everything else. So she gets mad and takes away my iPad. Normally, this would be a big deal...except I used the iPad as an alarm, and she doesn't want to wake me up so I still get the iPad every night. And whenever I need it for school. And whenever I ask. It's weird, I basically have it as often as I did before, but I'm still technically grounded, leaving me to wonder what the point of all of this was

My mom cut the internet connection for 8 months just because I failed math in the second year of high school, even though I passed the reexamination a month later! True story, painful but true! Beat that!

My mom grounded me because I forgot to turn in a syllabus slip at the beginning of freshman year. I'm a junior now, and I only got ungrounded last month...2 YEARS OF BEING GROUNDED FROM XBOX MAN!!

No xbox is nothing! Imagine absolutely NO internet AT ALL for 8 months!

Dude, I didn't get a computer until last summer. Xbox was the only way I had access to the Internet

Well, for a game developer and programmer no internet for 8 months is a huge deal. I don't know about you, but I have almost never used the internet to play games!

Why would u fight a kid at school?

You've never played a multiplayer game ever? .-.

Secondly, I'm not talking about the online multiplayer, I'm talking about using internet explorer on my Xbox because I didn't have a computer or iPad, and that was my only way to keep up with my friends as I changed schools. And for a kid who can't make friends for the life of him, losing all contact with all my friends for 2 years is a huge deal

As I said, at that time I was a developer (I have taken a break for now). That involves having to keep up with the technology and all the new advancement and information. I did it for a living, not for leisure. If you don't want to lose contact with your friend, all you need to do is exchange phone numbers. If you don't want to lose supporters and customers on the other hand, you need to be-up-to date as much as possible and missing out on everything for 8 months is a real issue.
PS: I do play multiplayer games, but not often. They are boring.

Okie here's mine

So a few years ago my dad stormed in my room and he asked me if I had bought any games recently on his ps3. I said yes, and he thumped me on the head. HARD. Anyway, he asked me where I had got the money from, and I told him I had bought a prepaid card for $20 at my local store. He told me where the card was, I told him I threw it away. Then he asked for the receipt. So I handed him the receipt off my dresser. Then I got punched on my forehead because I supposedly gave him a receipt from gamestop from 5 months ago. He told me if I didn't show him proof I didn't steal the money from him, I was in big trouble. A few days later, I had found the correct receipt, and showed him, and everything had checked out. But I was still in trouble for buying the game without telling him and then LYING about it, and I got in trouble for spending the money in the first place. Plus, I was previously grounded already, so I shouldn't have even been on the ps3 in the first place. I ended up going a whole YEAR without ANYTHING!!! Thank god that time is over.......:angelic:

I don't have a phone or access to a phone. I literally had no way of contacting them. It's not as big of a deal as something for a living (though technically, if you're still living at home, it's not for a living. That implies you're doing it because you need the money to live), but it still messed with my life. That said, I understand the boring multiplayer games :p

P.S. This whole convo so far has basically just been "I had a tragic grounding!" "No, mine was worse!" "No, MINE was worse!" Etc etc XD

Lol, mines not that weird. Usually when I'm grounded the ground is "No Devices". One time my dad said "No Internet". He was tired that day xD. So I put my iPad away, and I got out my 3DS and started playing it. After a few hours, he noticed I was played it and he was like "I told you that you couldn't go on that!" And I said "I'm not using Internet..." And then he said, "you know what I meant earlier! Turn it off!!" It was actually pretty funny, and I got to play my 3DS for 3 hours of my ground. Pretty sweet.

Mines not to bad (for me it's torture) but it was I couldn't have soda for a week until I took my medicine without being reminded :(.

I gotta take this medicine that helps my body maintain a normal ph balance but it tastes funky (more like hot orange Gatorade with a lot of sugar and lemon juices).

I'm obsessed with soda, and I drink it all day and all night when we have it.

The weirdest grounding I've ever had was being grounded from going to Thrift Stores haha. My dad banned me from them for a couple of weeks. :p

I didn't want to go to school on a snow day. Technically the school was still open so my dad wanted me to go, but the buses were canceled and 70% or so of my school are bus kids so it was more or less a snow day. Other kids don't show up and the teachers can't move on to more material with over half the class missing so I would just be sitting in practically an empty school. And all my friends take busses.

So he grounded me. Thrift stores are my favourite, I routinely visit them for their books, different knick knacks, typewriters, etc. :p

Not being allowed to get dress until I logged off the computer

Not being allowed to change the channel while my mom was asleep for 3 hours

Not being allowed to eat my cake until I said my favorite things

Have my room striped of everything including books, lego, toys, everything but my clothes and my bed, have the windows covered with cardboard and I'm only allowed out of my room for school and meals for 2 weeks. After I was allowed out I still wasn't allowed to play video games for a month. I am not kidding. This happened. For lying. Try to beat that!
