There's now a target system to find a fighter in this game by using the touch screen to tap on the character's icon and instantly puts a target on you, so you can't hide from the best around.

Well, if you can't hide or run, you can still... dodge! It's time to increase my dodging skills, maybe that'll make me better at these bullet-hell games I love that much :D.

Jokes aside, that might be useful, but not sure if I'll use it. Each second count in a fight, so... I don't want to waste time getting out my stylus to lock my target. Still a cool feature, though.

hiding is for cowards! xD

nice feature though. Should come in use for sure. ;)

Yeah, I loved today's pic of the day. Can't wait for E3! And here's the pic of what he's talking about, if any of you haven't seen it:

This would be pretty useful in 3P+ matches and large stages. I won't be playing a lot in those circumstances though.
I wonder if this might be a feature for the Wii U version? Not everyone has access to the gamepad, and even so, the screen is shared amongst everyone, locally at least, so I'm guessing that it might not be added there.

I like this feature, but too bad I won't be using it much. Normally I don't target one certain player, because it's a bit unfair, but if the're targeting me throughout the game then I'll have to use that feature. I honestly believe this game is ready! Those screen-shots are looking top-notch, and these features are amazing. This will definite come in handy to some players especially in moving stages, where you tend to get confuse.

that is cool but is the battle field as small as it show in this pic?

if so there is almost no room to move around. i hope that there is more room to battle and that it looms in a bit that is kinda far back.

The stage seems like it's at the same size as it was in any other previous Smash Bros. games with it. The camera position here just makes it look small.

That's just how that certain stage is, the floating ledges make up for the small base. It's always been like that (I believe). The screenshot is just making the stage look small, you should watch some gameplay footage, it's not all that small. :)

No problem... Sometimes to camera angle just makes the stage look smaller. Anyways, I think this feature, is going to be used heavily in 4 Player battles, where it gets hectic, and you wanna tackle down the character with the highest damage.

I think the targeting feature was made for Smash newcomers because experts don't need a target to aim (and their thumbs would be too busy moving for them to even want to use a target. Maybe if humans had three hands.). I don't see how it can be beneficially used because I haven't used it but it might help if it stayed there after just tapping an icon. It might help though for newcomers to become experts because it's a spacing game.

My friends always get really angry when i gang up on him with my allies. I know its really unfair, but still..... It's fun and this new targeting system tempts me to target my friends even more XD

Still though, in all the action, a fourth player (in a 4p match) can avoid the heat of the fight. The tracking system will help find some players trying to hug the edge of the screen though. It's a pretty neat use of the touchscreen.

I could be also used to your advantage too, in my opinion. Such as Ike targeting somebody like Sonic, you would probably induce a lot of rage and get reported for being mean and gain allies if you are playing 4 P :p
