Wolf is by far the best!! In smash bros atleast.

I like falco the most in the star fox games.. then wolf, with fox last.

I really wish Wolf was in Smash Bros 4 :( It would've been so good if he was.. he deserved the spot much more than Lucina and Dark Pit. I never mained him in Brawl but it was still awesome to have him there, but if they buffed him like they buffed Roy, I would've definitely mained Wolf in Smash 4.

After Corrin and Bayonetta, there's not even a chance he'll ever be in Smash 4 now.. Oh well, maybe next game hopefully.
 
Although Wolf is my favourite, I can see why they cut him. He is pretty similar to Fox and Falco, even though he plays very differently. That being said, he would have brought more to the table than Dark Pit or Lucina, like you said @Mr. L . Ah well, at least you can recolour Fox to look like Wolf.... :p

Yeah the wolf colour of Fox is really awesome :D It's a nice homage to him, but it isn't the same really :/ Especially as I don't main Fox in Smash 4 :p I used to main him in Brawl though! He's not as fun for me and I don't get the same results.

I think I prefer Falco over Fox in SSB4. He is just so much fun to use, even for a total nub like me. Maybe I'll main him one day. ;)

I haven't unlocked many of Fox's custom moves, I wonder if it's possible to give him a moveset similar to what Wolf had. That would be pretty cool. Odds probably aren't in my favour though.

Yeah falco has alot of options in Smash 4, he's really good at gimping characters and is incredibly strong on the ground (ironically). I'm not too sure if he's better than fox in Smash 4 but I know he's definitely a viable choice for a character. Falco got buffed alot in the latest update too which is really good for him.
 
I like all three of them for different reasons.

I like Fox because he was always my favorite character in Star Fox and I like his backstory.

Falco because his personality reminds me of Joey from YuGiOh. And I love his taunts and victory quotes.

I also like Wolf only because he's a wolf.

But my all time favorite is Fox
 
I'm gonna say Wolf since I really liked using him in Brawl >.< I found him really strong and pretty much a 'cool' character, during the time that I used him long ago xD
In terms of competitive-ness, I feel like Fox and Falco are pretty much equal. Falco is supposed to be a clone :p Fox is just a whole lot quicker.
 
Fox McCloud is my favorite. I've started using him after joining a Google+ cult dedicated to him and treats Falco like the devil but then I just got so dang hooked on him. I've gotten some good games with him. Almost to the point where I decided that he should be one of my mains. But with Falco, I find myself doing horribly. And I have never played as Wolf. At first, I wanted him back during the Ballot but then I lost interest.

I like Falco the best because I think he has the best design. Fox is pretty cool and Wolf ehh. I never played the Star fox games so I don't know how the characters act and I only knows these characters by Super Smash Bros Brawl and Super Smash Bros for the Wii u and 3ds. I'm just glad Wolf didn't back in because he was a clone.

I prefer Falco. My friend used to main him in Brawl and I like to use him in Smash 4 and Melee (though I like Fox a tad better in Smash 4). Wolf is just too slow for me but I do enjoy to use his Smash attacks the most. Falco has an attitude to go with his attack power as well and I think that's why my friend liked using him. Wolf takes a solid second and I think I'd like to use him if he was in Smash 4.
